. My career for too long now deals with analysis, forecasting, formulation, comparative, trajectory all that good stuff etc etc.

NBA scouting is a far more relaxing hobby and if you get it wrong cool you learn something, you get it right you look smarter than what you are lol.

I have my boys (me and my mate have what’s called a stable but it’s in all sports) once you’re in there I’m watching you like a damn hawk every little move.

In fact I don’t really pay attention to scoring, or raw stats anymore. Key metrics, transferability, size, movement, skill, ceiling.

It was about 2 mins watching Mobley in game before I had a strong feeling this kid is going to be something. He has that effect on you lol

His upside is that of an advanced stat darling that can also get you 24 a night and initiate some of the offense from the 5 spot. His passing late in the 4th quarter against the Knicks was simple, yet really impressive. He consistently found the open 3 point shooter on the perimeter, and when that was defended he found Allen in the post for an easy dunk.

To be fair to the Rockets, Mobley dodged Houston. His camp was againtst him landing in Houston. He refused a workout.

Thats not to say he's a better player or has a better career than LeBron. That's unachievable. But LeBron always put the team below his own self interest and had one foot out the door the entire time he was here and basically held the team hostage.

Was Duncan a better player than LeBron? No, but he was a better Spur than LeBron was a Cav by a country mile. Same with Steph as a Warrior. Same with Giannis as a Buck. Same as Malone for the Jazz. Etc.

If Mobley brings the Cavs a title without whoring himself out and forcing everyone around him to fall in-line with his own self interests he becomes a better Cav.
