It does until the Sixers beat the Nets in the playoffs because of it.

Kyrie had better talent surrounding him in BOS and he failed miserably.

Yeah, that’s because the Celtics suck. Look at them now.

And right now they cannot beat championship caliber teams like PHX and GS.

Marks is probably the best GM in the leauge dude, theyll be just fine hes assessing the market

There is really nothing to assess. Irving will never play for the Nets again. Harden has not signed an extension. KD is 33 and the championship window is closing fast.

Marks has had a good run, but none of it will matter if he blows this

I don't think Shams is reporting that Kyrie wants to be traded. He just saying Kyrie won't play unless traded, which is the obvious answer.

I personally don't think Kyrie would play anywhere else. He wants to be home with his family. He would probably just retire before going to play in Indiana or Sacramento.

Other teams know this and they won't trade for him. No other team is going to give up assets to see Kyrie retire.

The Nets just have to wait it out. I think there is still a chance Kyrie changes his mind and comes back. Nobody really knows what hes thinking.

If not maybe wait till next season and see if the mandate is moved back. I would still resign him to a shorter term deal.

Well there are other anti-vaxxers who are playing now and not getting much attention for it. I could see a small market team that doesn't have much going on taking advantage of a low price on Kyrie. It's a huge gamble, but some teams need to take gambles like that.

95% of the league been vaccinated as of September..doubt it's as big a issue as you're suggesting.

And beyond that the big issue with Irving, he couldn't play at home. You can't play in LA you can't play in Canada.. so unless I'm missing a bunch of random high profile DNP.. *shrug*

Kind of happy that Irving's not playing. It makes the east completely up for grabs, makes for a more entertaining season.

Had a funny thought that will likely never happen but what if Utah sees themselves as behind the warriors and suns and wants to really go all in.

Think about this, Ben Simmons literally has more trading value than Kyrie.

Who would trade for the guy? He's the definition of selfish and not a team player.

Yes he is. The difference is that before, Irving said he wouldn't play anywhere else if traded.

No hes not. All he said was that he wouldn't be able to play unless he wanted to be traded.

Hes not reporting anything new. If you actually listen to what he said.

Otherwise he would have stated that Kyrie was willing to be traded.
