If wiggins is truly undeserving of as an all star selection as many think, he would have gotten near null votes as he did last year from the media and players. Regardless of the fan vote, he wouldn't have been chosen as a starter this year. However, he was recognized by his peers and media as someone who is in the conversation, so this isnt the zaza situation many are making it out to be.

With covid and the injuries this year to many marquee players, especially at the forward position, wiggs probably would have at least been an injury replacement.

Suck it up.

No hes not people need to stop with this craziness

Armstrong was coming off a strong playoff performance helping the Bulls threepeat and then MJ retired and everyone thought the Bulls were done but by this time that season the Bulls were fighting for the best record in the east primarily because of Pippen, Grant, and yes Armstrong who pretty much helped lock up his selection with the Xmas day win .

Wiggins getting voted in over Paul is a joke and everyone should stop trying to justify it based on a rare occurrence from 25 years ago that are nothing similar

Because as far as he knows:
1st pick
ROTY
Max contract
All Star

It really doesn't get much better than that. He probably thinks he's really **** good, and I don't blame him.

1) There is a difference between "he`s not very good" and "he is not a all-star starter". A ****ing big difference.

2) It does. All-NBA-1st-Team, MVP, Finals-MVP, Championshop - it REALLY CAN GET MUCH BETTER.

Wiggins is "really good". That doesn`t mean that he is an all star starter.

ok ok ok
it's just a figure of speech LOL

It's true, they do have a lot more fans than the Suns.

Complain about Curry being picked over Paul then. I wouldn't have had a problem with Paul being picked despite being a GSW fan.

Wiggins only looks like a solid 2nd option when the first option is the GOAT shooter. When he was the 2nd option in MIN, he failed miserably

I was surprised Green wasn't selected over him, but the fans are smart. They realize Wiggins doesn't sniff the game if he isn't starting. Green will likely get selected as a reserve. So, their job is a success. Flawed system is what we have in place, and it's been like that for a very long time.

Player A: 45 games of 18.1p /4.2r / 2.1a on 48.3/41.2/66.2 shooting %s

Played B: 43 games of 18.3p / 12.0r / 2.5a on 52.6/41.7/81.9 %s

Player A is starting, Player B didn’t even make top 10 in Western front court fan voting.

The band wagon fans came through for Wiggins.

The dumbest thing i read on these Wiggins threads, and one of the dumbest ever, were about why was he chosen instead of Kawhi. Fricking Kawhi, which did not put the foot on a basketball court this year. So how can you argue logically with guys like this? Or that dude here complaining he was taken before Paul, which is the bloody back-court.

It is really hilarious to see so much irrational hate. **** precious, your tears of senseless frustration just warms my soul. Carry on, please.

I am not talking about all the people who are against Wiggins being picked, just against the real dumb takes, just to be clear.

Also, if i would have voted, i would have voted for Draymond.

Jonas?

People are gonna look back on this era in 50 years and just laugh at how weak it was with the injuries, geezer LeBron and Chris Paul dominating, Wiggins all star, Heat as the top seed with Tyler Herro as their 1b option. I know it's hard to see it now but history will laugh at the covid era nba

Congrats to Wiggins, this was a goal for him to play in an all star.
He has to stay aggressive. NBA title is the next step for him.

Gobert and Towns are the only two that have been healthy and legitimately have a Frontcourt argument over Wiggins. But, with so many players injured, Wiggins is as deserving as any other front court player. So complain all you want about Town's and Gobert but this isn't as far fetched as some who can't wrap their heads about how good Wiggins has been for GS on both ends of the floor. GS fans have rarely seen Minny Wiggins.
