I don't know if I necessarily agree that it's "not even debatable", but I'll say this.

If anyone were to debate in Curry's favor, it's not the OP.

Both your comments show the amazingly bizarre nature of the way the conversation is conducted between the two. Sure sounds a lot like denial. I guess the grieving process has begun.

The many posts of this nature on this thread merely show the arguments cannot really be attacked therefore the messenger is attacked instead.

How did this topic reach 8 pages ?

I question your knowledge of basketball if you think last year’s version of Curry was better than the 2018 version of Lebron.

I question yours if you haven't had to reassess it after what Curry has accomplished.

There are pages worth of posts in this thread attacking your argument.

You’ve chosen to ignore them. You’re wrong. Get over it.

2018 Lebron is the greatest player of the last 25 years and arguably the GOAT. As great as 2022 Curry was, he wasn't anywhere near that level.

2018 LeBron barely scrapes by a team led by Victor Oladipo and a Celtics team with a rookie Tatum and he's the greatest player of the last 25 years?

I am not sure Curry would make the playoffs with this roster in 2018,considering the cavs had the 29th defense and they had a complete washed J.R Smith in the starting lineup....Curry was better in 2021 that he was in 2022 and still did not make the playoffs.....

Curry would have made the playoffs in 2021 under the rules in effect in 2018. That people keep bringing up that "he missed the playoffs" without acknowledging the change of rules adding additional hurdles comes across as more than a little disingenuous. It took highly volatile single-game series against the previous year's champions and the succeeding year's team with the second highest winning record to eliminate Curry.

Without even considering that roster construction is often determined by the particular strengths and weaknesses of the star player, that 2018 Cavaliers team the season prior was in the finals while the 2021 Warriors a year earlier were last place in the league. Moreover, if the 2018 Cavaliers were 29th in defense, doesn't LeBron bear some responsibility for that? It's not as if he wasn't playing when that defensive reading was being established.

I got that kind of response whenever I said that Curry was the best player in the league last year for some reason. Then he goes and wins another championship. Don't take me seriously if you don't want to. I certainly don't take you seriously.

And again, another extremely low IQ take from you.

No one cares if you think Curry is the best player in the league. The problem are your takes and how you go about making them. You're never objective, your posts are never based on reality, they're extremely laughable and half the time it comes across as very intentional trolling on your part.

The post above this is a clear example of that. The rule change is what hurt Curry's chances? What rule change are you referring to? The play-in tournament? The Warriors had TWO chances to earn a playoff spot and they squandered both of those chances. They have no one to blame but themselves for that.

And the Warriors winning the title is proof that Curry was the best player that season? Again, more terrible takes from you. If you want to claim Curry was the best player in the league last year (which he wasn't), make an actual argument for why. Don't just say dumb **** like this and expect us to take your word for it.

But word of advice: it's never a good idea to not take someone who is smarter than you seriously.

Oh I will, with people that are actually smarter than me.

There’s not a single person on this site that you are smarter than. Even the Ben Simmons guy makes good points every now and then.

Curry would've take that team to the playoffs and you guys would've been calling JR Smith a top 5 SG in the league. You guys are rather predictable. Lol.

However, unlike Lebron, Curry is expected to go further than the playoffs with less talent (while playing in a serious conference for his whole career).

So even though it's likely you would move the 'playoff' goal-post, Curry 'making the playoffs' is a low standard for him even though it's a high standard for Lebron.

Not the biggest fan of Curry, but the standards are much higher for him.

Not a Bron stan, but this is pure delusion. Reality should matter.

I also think Curry is amazing btw and last season really was great.

In fact, that's going in my sig. It's such an unbelievably stupid thing to say that it deserves to be celebrated as such.
