They pretty much have to. He's been really good here so far and honestly I don't have many complaints about Kyrie's on court play to this point and there's no way we could replace what he brings if he left. He's playing through an injury right now so I won't question his commitment to the team either. Luka hasn't been 100% since the All Star break but Kidd is the real problem. Needing a coaching change with Kyrie on the roster and not guaranteed to stay is a scary prospect I'm not going to lie, I don't really want Kyrie to have too much influence over the coaching decisions for obvious reasons

Perhaps, but I don't see it being a max deal

He should have remained silent after a bad loss.

Can't blame Kyrie. He didn't want to be in Dallas. He wanted to be in Los Angeles.

Dr: if it’s so simple you try it!

Patient: you mother…

Dallas fans should already be annoyed with Kyrie and Kidd

What about Boston and Brooklyn? (And Cleveland.)

Can’t have everything you want in life, it’s not a reason to make dumb statements and not take responsibility.

Sign and trade to the Lakers for Russell + maybe if lucky a draft pick 10 years from trade.

Ratings are down because there is no truly great team and the Lakers, outside the bubble championship, haven't been dominant in recent years.

People talk about how superteams and such ruined the league, but the NBA has always been at its most popular when there have been dominant teams. The 80s illustrates that better than anything when it was just 2 teams combining for 13 out of 20 Finals appearances.

People always cried for parity. This year has more parity and close to .500 teams than ever and ratings are down. Zion always being hurt and playing in a small market along with MVP candidates being non-American hasn't helped.

Outside of the Knicks being watchable for once, for me, the players despising the fans makes the league tough to watch. I don’t get the rationale or where this has come from. The players outright despise the people who care about the sport. If the NBA made the bubble permanent I think the players would be thrilled.

Exactly. For years, I have always been in the players corners, but now I just can't anymore. Just so many coddled ****. If an NBA lifer like me is turned off by this stuff, imagine what the casual fan thinks.

The Kyrie saga is getting very uncomfortable to even follow closely. This is on Dallas however.

The rest of the league should have just stepped back and let him go to the Lakers to be with his surrogate daddy LeBron, any other situation is a lost cause.

Suns have no capspace. $163M tied in 6 players. The salary cap is $134M.

Not saying the Lakers or Dallas would do this but in terms of the bolded, the Lakers have a first pick this upcoming draft (lesser of Pels or Lakers) and at this rate it will be in the mid-teens (16ish if we get to 7th) and we can just select the player first and include him in a trade.
