If it’s in another loss to Celtics who cares they need to win this gm and not get swept on the season.

sit embiid and lose the MVP and get blown out by 40 for all I care lol. we probably won't get HCA anyways. beating them in the playoffs is all that matters. that's not gonna happen either though

the rebel has said it multiple times last few pages and I've heard it many times from people both on this board and writers nationally that Embiid and Jokic are close defensively pointing to some advanced stats to argue this. Meanwhile Embiid has been anchoring solid defenses since his rookie year and visually deters guards from attacking the rim.

Rebel said jokic is a better defender??

I definitely want MVP only because A) it will be less of a narrative every year B) it will be a nice achievement and validation given how unlikely of a road it was for him to get here after his first couple seasons, which I don't think gets talked about enough. Also more importantly I would love home court in the playoffs.

But I would give up an MVP even for a conference final appearance

50 in a win over the Celtics might've just solidified it for Embiid

How did Embiid lock to the MVP when he already lost it when he sat against Denver? lol

Embiid with like 50 tonight. Jokic loses to lowly rockets.

Jokic lost the MVP tonight.

Thank you Embiid!

I feel so dirty, this is the first and last time I will ever root for a team with Harden.

Seems like the voters didn’t care
i) straw poll was done after the game and embiid was still ahead
ii) many media members talked about it and it not mattering. I think only perkins made a big deal about it

It was a 2 man race between jokic embiid and Jokic just lost to houston.

Its unfair but the final stretch weighs more heavily in voters eyes instead of the entire season

This mvp race is definitely over. Embiid is the mvp.

The good thing about the Denver loss tonight is that the sixers and the celtics now move in front of Denver in win-loss. If it remains that way, it means home court advantage in the event either team meets with the nuggets in the final. That would be huge.

Load management and losing rockets hence home court advantage will haunt Denver in the playoffs if they make the finals.

52/13/6 on 80% shooting in a national game. I think that might have done it. Although Giannis also a nice game 28/11/10.

Wtf happened to Joker tonight? 14/10/4 with 8 turnovers. Losing to Houston? Is he playing hurt or just rusty?

Joker shot 7/13, but only 13 shots, 8 turnovers and 1 free throw
