I also don’t think you can say that Embiid has only one bad stain on his postseason career, especially given that he was terrible at the end of the final few games against the Hawks (he was generally quite bad in the series, despite putting up points). He was far more to blame for that humiliation than Simmons.

Really makes you think…
Jokic literally made his only conference finals so far when Murray averaged 30+ a game in a series lmao

Embiid Playoff PER: 22.1

Jokic Playoff PER: 28.7

Its not even a comparison. Funny how you don't even know how net rating works. All this is telling me is Embiid had stacked lineups and still sucked in the playoffs.

But props to Embiid for winning game 1 away while sitting on the bench. Those claps per minute must have helped the Sixers a ton.

I thought the advanced stat heads said that PER was a useless metric?

Which folks look dumb? Embiid fans who wanted him to win MVP over Jokic? I don't think anyone doubted Jokic.

Even fans of Embiid like me respect Jokic's game. The guy is literally a walking triple-double. While I think that Embiid's better rim protection (which was in clear evidence last night against the Celtics) is a differentiating factor between the two players, that does not mean that I don't respect Jokic's game. It is impossible not to.

Here's hoping for a Sixers-Nuggets finals.

See, posts like this one make people angry. No, rim protection is not the only differentiating factor, no matter how much you guys push that agenda.

And the world knows who's a superior player.

So why didn't the superior player get the MVP, if he had the superior season?

Posted this in other threads but Embiid's defensive impact compared to Jokic's this playoffs is gargantuan.

Hakeem was every bit as good a player as Kareem and Shaq (if not better), but he never played with another all-time great (while in his/their prime).

LOL Okay

He's being hyperbolic, but he's right.

You know what? I'm too tired of the MVP conversation to further take part in it. I'm out of that.

Fair enough, but don't expect people to not respond when you say the "world " knows who the superior player is, only for it to be a lopsided MVP vote.

I’m going to guess it’s because he’s guarding Horford on the perimeter a bit?

You were very vocal about Murray playing well in one game vs Minnesota.

Murray did carry in that game. Jokic to his credit has been exceptional this round, and has carried the team. Good for him. Doesn't change what Murray did in the 1st round and in that specific game. Also doesn't change that Murray had a better playoffs in the bubble than Jokic did. That being said, I think the Nuggets will make the WCF at minimum, and have a good shot at the finals. Hopefully my Sixers will face them, so we can settle this ugly debate once and for all.

lol, ur obssession has turned into outright trolling imo
if Murray "carried" Jokic in one game (laughable but ok)- then what would u call Harden and Maxey's performances this postseason?

lmfao

Harden has been the 76ers best player in this postseason run thus far
and he was their best player pretty often during the rs as well, with and without Embiid in the lineup

I doubt well see a 76ers\Nuggets final but u can't really think that's how it works - basketball is a team game
Was isiah better than Jordan when the bulls lost twice to the bad boys?

Harden deserved an all-NBA team this season
can u imagine Jokic with Harden, Maxey, Tucker, Harris, Melton, Mcdaniels, Reed etc? lol

heck, Jokic would probably do more\better with Maxey alone than he does with Murray, even without playing alongside MVP Harden

btw, Harden deserved his lone MVP, unlike your hero :)

Read on Twitter

that's not defensive impact
there is no doubt Embiid is by far a better rim protector and shot "contestor"

there's more to the game, what about the times he doesn't make it back on time defensively and the 76ers are 4 on 5?
(just one example)

there is no question then when he is there to contest - he is far superior to the Joker in that dpt
however...

Joel's def rating in the playoffs so far is 110.4 - that's good but it isn't great and it's basically identical to the Joker's def rating
so the difference isn't actually "gargantuan" more like - miniscule

not saying def rating is the end all be all (it's not), merely pointing out there's more to defense that contesting shots well
If Joel is anchoring the 76ers defense at such a high level - then why is the 76ers defense ummm...not that good?
