The fact is Lebron is 39, and while he's still a monster offensively and the best 39 year old player of all time, he's not anywhere near what he was defensively.

AD is injury prone.

If AD is healthy in the playoffs it's still a very dangerous team.

DLO probably wanna bolt from the Lakers team. I mean I would not want to play with Lebron either.

As far as I can tell JJ's "master plan" has been to play Davis (the only thing holding the defense together) heavy minutes. Of course when that fails and he can't handle the minutes and he burns out or gets injured the team will go in the tank.

JJ is cerebral in his approach and has a large cortex, while ham was brain dead or was just working off of his brain stem, however same results so far.

DLo had a player option last summer and if he found ONE team that really wanted him and willing to pay and commit to him for more than 2 years then he would have bolted out just like that.

zimpy27 wrote:JJ is coaching well and Lakers will turn this stint around, it's been a 5-game road trip for them and their offense has not clicked at all.

THeir too most winnable games had them well below average league TS% of 58%.
51% TS vs PHX and lost by 4 points
53% TS vs DET and lost by 12 points

I understand that there are at least 3 players right now who are currently struggling to hit their 3pt shots but Am I such a fool to believe that JJ was creative enough to design 4-5 set plays for their bench players to get higher % shots? :-?
JJ also said he's prioritizing developing players even setting up "pods" composed for 2-3 assistants to work with them.
Also Lakers are currently 27th worse in DRTG with AD just missing 1 game, if they just ranked 12th or better, I believe that they would have had a much better chance competing.

At what point is JJ the problem? Bc it seems like Ham was the problem…

He wasn't, but people are very very bad at this analysis thing, so here we are.

It'll be JJ's problem in about a month, trust. Then it'll be the next coach's problem next season, and the guy after that, and the guy after that...

But hey, remember that time JJ had the boys run a well executed High Iverson?

Roster is bad, but Ham acted like he didn't care most of the time and was terrible with time outs. Not to mention his free for all court approach.

Ham literally refused to play the lineup that got us to the WCF for months last season. He has no ATO plays at all we've already seen JJ does.

Ham doesn't analyze the game that much is clear. He's a motivational coach is probably great at motivating players. He's not a coach.

Im optimistic about JJ. If that idiot Ham got two years giving us crap basketball JJ deserves just as much.

It's like people didn't watch us play basktball last season or the season before.

I didn't judge ham 10 games in and i sure as **** ain't doing that to JJ.

I hope Ham goes to your team and coaches. It's the Westbrook crap all over again. People needed to see him be garbage elsewhere to understand.

1) I’m a Lakers fan. I have thousands of posts in ISH and Lakersground dating back to somewhere around 2005ish. I’ve watched an insane amount of lakers basketball.

2) why do you think Ham didn’t play that lineup last year? You think he just forgot about it..if so then maybe you aren’t serious.

3) I’m not judging JJ, I’m just trying to set the parameters so that he gets held to the same standards that everyone else does. I’m also not very optimistic about JJ… I think he is going to start rubbing people the wrong way. The angry outbursts will stop being acceptable after a while.

Dude seriously tell me i want to know why Ham didn't play that lineup last year. Didn't he start playing the lineup the second half of the season last year and we went on a 23-10 run? If so what changed? Im seriously interested in why he didn't play them?

I got no problems with JJ's outbursts. I'd be pissed as well if i saw my veteran PG crap the bed game in game out. His outbursts watching DLO get his shot blocked because he's taking an idiotic shot is justified and i guarantee you every coach has done the same thing with him. He's an absolute shocker to watch.

Also what was Ham's infatuation with the 3 guard lineup he loved to trot out? Please explain to me the grandplan behind that lineup? Please explain to why he kept insisting on using it? Dude used it against GSW and thought it would work against anyone. I guess Ham lacked adjustments.

Looks like JJ is also not playing this lineup either? Wonder why…it’s almost like it’s obvious why it’s can’t work.

But it’s okay when JJ states he’s gonna start Cam and have a fluid lineup. Honestly, sounds very familiar tactic. Guess he will wait for a roster reshuffle at the trade deadline, just like Ham did. We will see how this unfolds…but it’s all looking very predictable (including JJs outbursts)

We will see if Austin Reaves gets held to the same standard as DLo…because his defense yesterday was trash. If people start being singled out by JJ the locker room will fracture. He has had to lose some credibility for how Bronny was treated and this will just add to that

It’s funny now. May be less funny in two years when you have nothing but an underperforming team on your resume. Lakers are a circus and unserious franchise at this point. Hard to root for them.

Are you the DLO fan from Lakersground that acts as if DLO is the key to winning a Championship?

Do you think LeBron at age 39 is gonna be down with going through a rebuild? Or are you saying you’re willing to wait the 3-4 years before LeBron retires then give Redick another 2 years to see how the rebuild is going?

Meaning you’re willing to give Redick a total of 5-6 years before “judging” him?

Im saying when it all inevitably goes to hell this season and AD hopefully asks out by the seasons end Lebron wont have any say in the matter.

I can’t see AD asking out…the city of LA is far too glamorous for him.
