Lakers in 6, the Spurs don't match-up well against the Lakers. Lamar and the bench will be HUGE in this series.

I'm taking the Lakers is 6. But really, it all depends on how well the Lakers defend the Spurs shooters.

I think it would be interesting to rate the Lakers and Spurs teams in this series against some of their past clashes back when L.A. had both Kobe AND Shaq. Are the Lakers better? Spurs worse?

Guess it will all shake out in the next few weeks. This is what Kobe has wanted for so long.

48hrs rest, lakers will win game 1 imo, spurs win 4 straight after that :D

It should be an interesting series, but I'll take the Spurs in 6 or 7. The Lakers won't be able to slow Timmy down like Chandler did, Parker will likely abuse Fisher (assuming Kobe mostly guards Ginobili). On the other side, Kobe will get his (although it won't be as easy against Bowen), but the Lakers success in this series will depend, IMO, on how well Odom and Gasol play and perhaps mostly how well they can create their own shots. I think Odom could have a good series, but I really don't know about Pau.

I think Odom could go off in this series. He is too quick for Oberto/Thomas, and he's going to get plenty of open looks from Kobe and Gasol.

gasol is going to do a much better job on duncan than people are giving him credit for. he guarded duncan in their last matchup near the end of the season and held him to 6-19. his length, much like chandler's, really bothered duncan.
