Is it now safe to say that if Anthony Randolph doesn't make the All-Star team this year, he is a RealGM bust?

The thing about stepping up and making a bold long term prediction is that is so easy for people to laugh at you because nothing has happened and it will take so long for the prediction to be graded with objectivity that by the time the prediction is proven right no one even remembers. Most people (usually the ones making fun) are far too cowardly and stupid to step up with anything they haven't read or heard someone else say. It really is a shame that someone couldn't re-incarnate this thread at the end of the season because I will stand by my prediction and I think I stepped further out on the limb than anyone. I saved copies of similar stuff I wrote about him 14 months ago. I even told a high ranking NBA exec that he was my favorite pick in the '08 draft last summer. I keep reminding him and I think he is finally starting to come around.

He was the youngest player in the NBA last year and had no support from his coach yet he still made Lamar Odom say "This guy has a chance to be a hall of famer"

Believe the hype and don't hide behind your ignorance.

I dare someone to take my most bold statement about him and sig it for everyone to laugh at but don't take it down until after this season at least! Anyone have the balls.

Cause Lamar Odom knows all about having the heart to be a hall of famer.

I'm not worried about his long term potential, I just want to see him next to Dwight Howard and Tim Duncan now, since he's taller than Dwight and the same height as Duncan now.

I can't believe people still buy these reported yearly growth spurts, when only a handful of players show growth of more than like a 1/4 inch or so. Wait till we can stack him up next to the giants before proclaiming he's taller than them.

I'm starting to become a fan of Randolph ..... but only due to the threads that are about him.

I'll bet people in the Flat Earth Society throw around the same sorts of statements about how amazing they are because they don't agree with sensible people.

Wow, 11 pages. I created monster :)

Anyways, Randolph is awesome. Get in your jabs at him now because during the season he's going to become he will get some serious notice around the league as a rising star.

There's a pretty sizable difference between 'rising star' and 'Top 10 player' and 'best prospect' and 'guaranteed HoFer.'

If you want my assessment, AR = Tyrus Thomas with a brain

Tyrus Thomas is smaller, has far worse ball handling skills, a weak jumper, and as stated, HAS NO BRAIN.
They are both athletic though.

BTW, GS fans are mainly joking around when they call him a future HOF'er. But Odom did say that, so our reference to his quote is totally in play.

They might be joking about calling him a HOF'er, but saying he compares to Amare on offense and KG on defense is one of the most ridiculous thing I've heard on this forum.
