But still yes people always like to point out when the Heat were lucky and forget the rest.

No one could stop LeBron at game 6, that was the best performance of LeBron's career (and he has a ton of great games on his resumé).

Celtics took them to seven because Bosh and Wade were injured. I already pointed that out. Anyway.. Was just ranting man.. I'm tired of some of the bull narratives.

The celtics were very very injured too. Pierce had a sprained MCL and Ray had bone spurs. I mean anytime you have Ryan Hollins playing in critical minutes in a game 7 you have big time problems. Yeah definitely right about that game 6....that was the most dominating performance in basketball I have ever seen.

It was an amazing game from Lebron, one of the few times ive ever seen ONE player single handedly beat an entire TEAM by himself.

Dont know if youre old enough, but I saw Hakeem Olajuwon put up an ungodly performance when they handed David Robinson the MVP award in 1995.

Look that one up on youtube, that was a performance for the ages, one of the most classic, one on one ass whoopings ever.

Blow outs? Last nights game was close, Miami didn't pull away until the end. Again, claiming that the Heat are playing with 0 effort to justify why the game was close is stupid. Everybody should know by now that teams look like crap when they go up against really good defense, not that they "aren't trying." Your using Skip Bayless logic.

Naw the Heat really aren't playing that hard. LeBron's coasting. The energy guys for Miami are playing hard but this is the Heat on cruise control so far.

3rd string? Behind who? He'd be behind only Bradley, Terry was going to be used behind Rondo.

Ehh....Jet's not a PG. But I feel you. Even still they wanted Ray to be a back up. If you're going to be a back up why not do it on a team where you actually feel like you'll win a few more rings with. Ray was dealing with some nagging injuries at the time, I really don't know...but my gut tells me they (like a lot of fans) thought Ray was done. Not saying he'd be as productive as a starter but it's definitely an ego thing when your team says "hey come back and be Avery Bradley's backup".

I agree with that. I thought he was done because his ankles were becoming a chronic problem. I don't think the team thought he was done but had to cut back on his work load substantially. He wouldn't have looked as good on this Celtics team had he stayed, and it's not like he's played great overall for the Heat, but he's stepped up at crucial times. He did make the right decision.

Well we protected homecourt. Its the playoffs though. I still expect deron to step up and kg and pierce to score more next game in front of their fans. This sweep talk is foolishness. No way a veteran team like that gets swept. Bkn wins game 3 at home 96-89.

All I'm saying is the Nets defense is slowing them down a bit. You're acting like I'm saying the Nets are going to win every game the rest of the way. Get a grip buddy.

I don't think there is any way the Nets wanted this 2nd round matchup. What they wanted was a 1st round matchup with someone they thought they could beat. And, that would be the team with the least playoff experience. Toronto is far and away the least experienced team they had a chance of playing in the 1st round.

I think its funny that Celtics/Raptors fans are going at it more than Heat/Nets fans in this thread.

Naw man, D Will has been consistently outplayed by like 60% of starting PG's in the league. It's really sad. His confidence is shot.

OK jus remember this post midway thru the series

During the final day of the season, there was no guarantee to who Brooklyn would be playing in the 1st round, win or lose. The only thing that was certain was that the 5th seed led to a potential second round matchup with Indy and the 6th seed led to a potential 2nd round matchup with the Heat.

It was either deliberate that they chose the Heat, which makes them idiots. Or they didn't care, which makes them complacent idiots.

Nets/Celtics fans can disagree all they want but I think Nets wanted the Raps/Heat bracket. Maybe they weren't sure of the Raps securing the 3rd seed but they definitely wanted the Heat bracket. Their last two games against the Knicks and Cavs the entire team was playing as lackadaisically as they could on the floor. The Raps were more likely to secure the 3rd seed and the Nets wanted that. Instead Raps put up hell of a fight and took them to 7 and almost won and now the Heat team is playing like it cares for the most part (last night's game being an exception for the first 3 quarters).

Ah Tim_Hardawayy is back!

The way i'm viewing this thread I came up with these conlcusions

1. Most Heat fans are already thinking about the next round
2. They're really aren't that many "actual" Nets fans on this thread but expect them to come out in full force if they win Game 3
3. Raps fans are awesome...Raps in 4
4. Celtics fans have been following the Nets train since KG & Pierce left but I can't figure out their reasoning to attacking Raps fans
5. Knicks fans on this thread actually hate the Nets more than the Heat which is pretty shocking to say the least

They wanted both. Raptors for their playoff inexperience and Heat because they 4-0 them in the regular season while having a hard time versus the Pacers.
Looking for a new signature. Currently, still evaluating.

Haven't really been following the Nets too, too closely, but I've noticed quite a few Raptor fans were annoyingly disrespectful towards guys like KG and Pierce. Heat fans actually show some respect for the couple of Hall of Famers...mostly.

raps fans have cemented themselves as the most annoying fanbase on this forum. their crybaby antics over that 7 game series was insane.

That may or may not be true but a lot of Celtics fans were simply unhappy with Raps supporting the Heat and I saw them getting attacked for simply rooting the Heat. As for the "disrespect" stuff, opposing fan bases will always trash talk marquee players that their team faces. That isn't something unique to this situation. The Raps lost a very close series to the Nets, not that hard to see that they aren't particularly fond of KG n PP at the moment.

And in the third game Joe Jesus will rise again and lead the Nets to victory.

Ain't worried about a damn thing
