He hit the ball first before the body contact did anything, so yes, marginal.

No, he didn't. He 100% hit his body before he ever touched the ball. In the other tweet you can see the ball still in Turners hands. Same here.

If you can't see it, you just don't want to. You can easily pause it and see.

It was literally reviewed by the officiating building HQ, not even the officials on the court. They have access to more angles than all of us.. so they got it right, sorry.

New York hate.

Last series an MVP made one of the most dangerous plays we’ve ever seen in the playoffs and none of these posters were up in arms. It’s selective outrage.

I don't think it was particularly biased officiating one way or the other, but the whistle was definitely a lot tighter in the 4th and that was kind of annoying.

Yeh, I’ll be honest… Brunson definitely fouled Turner on that block attempt, idc what the refs or NBA say

I actually think a switch we'll see Thibs make as the series goes on is putting OG on Turner out on the perimeter and letting RobinHart deal with Siakam's drives. With the Achiuwa at the 5 wildcard if that isn't working.

Capn'O wrote:Imo, the Knicks got the exact calls the Sixers wanted in game 2 of that series  I don't like the tight whistle late in games so I have some empathy here. Knicks got some lucky late whistles. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Bingo.

It doesn't mean the Knicks didn't execute well, or excuse that the Pacers didn't. The margin of error for the Pacers with those calls was destroyed though. Especially when after multiple of these calls the Knicks took advantage, so it multiplied the problem for the Pacers. So they were lucky AND good.

I'm just confused at some of the Knicks fans pretending these things were all good.

Don't see that working, but with Haliburton stinking so bad wouldn't matter anyway.

No they didn't. You can literally see it right there

Refs were bad for both sides in the 4th. Pacers got some calls early in the 4th and Knicks got some benefits down the stretch.

Take away the free throws and the Knicks outscored the Pacers 30-21 in the 4th. They outplayed them when it counted. Brunson was amazing and Haliburton didn’t show up. That was the biggest difference

Also... this is why you get home court if you can. Lotta teams ducked the Sixers/Heat and here we are.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure the crowd got to these refs, so when they f***ed up down the stretch they defaulted to f***ing up in our favor...the out of bounds on Nembhard not withstanding.

As opposed to whining and crying about the refs perhaps halifraud should score more than 6 pts

A lot of the calls are debatable and was not good on either side, but that kick ball, if I was a Pacers fan, I'd be absolutely livid

And I'm a Knicks fan

We'll see what adjustments each team makes for Game 2. Neither team should be satisfied.

Can't lie, I didn't feel too good about tonight's win. I think the Pacers were really creative with their defenses, and forced us to play their game. We had some really silly turnovers. From the Knicks end, I'm expecting more and hoping for more. I don't know how the Pacers did it, but both teams shot really well from the field, and somehow, it felt like a dogfight. We were basically in catch-up the whole time and basically used our whole starting lineup for the whole game. Pacers were relentless.

I think if the Pacers keep doing what they're doing, they're going to take some wins off the Knicks. It's a best out of 7 series -- there's gonna be times when Knicks fans complain a ton, too. I remember the Knicks having to deal with Embiid and the refs in Game 3...that felt rigged as eff. However, if your team is better, it's gonna get through in the end, just like the Knicks were able to beat Philly at home twice more on the road after that disaster of a game. Not too much consolation but Pacers fans should be encouraged. If the Knicks keep losing on the boards and making bad turnovers and playing bad defense and making McConnell look like a superstar PG, I don't expect the results to be as good. I'm expecting and hoping that the Knicks can play their game in G2.

I also don't want to take too much from the Knicks, too. OG was pretty impactful as a defender. The Villanova 3 scored 90 points and you guys made them look awesome...they really didn't look that good in Philly. After that series, I had no idea the Knicks could drive into the paint. Hart shot 40% from the field in Philly, 43% from three, which means he was really bad from 2. DDV was at 36% from the field in Philly. Some credit really needs to go to Brunson. Some of his shots were jawdropping and caused me to panic until they went in. I still think we need to play much better though.

Nuntius can tell you, my interest in the NBA has been hanging on by a thread. I absolutely hate everything the NBA is, I just have an undying love for the Pacers that I can't seem to shut off.

Tonight might have been the final straw for me. This isn't a sport. Its WWE. The game wasn't decided by the players and it was never going to be. The NBA/refs knew who would win this game before the tip-off. The end of that game was WILD. It wasn't even slightly one-sided. It was a full blown mission from the NBA to make sure the Knicks won.

I'm running out of reasons to continue to watch this league.

That has nothing to do with it, stop deflecting the fact the refs helped you guys win this one. He was bad and you guys still needed help.

That's it. They're almost like a hockey team with the way they use their depth to just keep the pressure on at all times. They just tire you out with all of that running on offense, and with TJ / Nembhard / Nesmith harassing ball handlers at the POA defensively. Will be interesting if they can maintain that effort on the boards & keep the rebound battle close.
