Everything went as planned for the Celtics. Defend Luka straight and limit everybody else. Only one assists by Luka. Celtics won't let the role players beat them. Kyrie being the x factor for a competitive series as expected. Based on this and last regular season game Boston has his number, so things don't look good for the Mavs if this continues.

The SF spot is a glaring hole that cannot be fixed in this series for Dallas. Against a team stacked with high end players, any weak link just gets so exposed. Kleber and Green also look unplayable out there.

Krause was right. Organizations win championships. Brad Stevens is king. The Celtics players cover almost any weaknesses that each player might have.

Of course you are going to jump out the first game Mavs lose just like to Clippers and OKC. The Mavs just don't pay $100M luxury tax yet to have an extra Durant level O and having DPoY Green and all-D level like Iguodala to help wipe ass from the behind. Just don't forget, Warriors also lost to Celtics in game 1 by 12 in 2022.

Might have to try, even now as I type using chrome the entire bottom of my screen is covered by a white ad that is like a bar across the screen taking up the bottom 2 inches. The ad blocker makes it not show but it still ruins the experience to the point I had to scroll down to even see the submit button!

Firefox is great for a LOT of sites. I usually have to go into NoScript and turn a couple of things on, but that's easy to learn how to do.

There are a few sites that can NOT be handled easily that way, so one needs to use a different browser for those.

I actually use three browsers, because I reserve Chrome for Gmail and a few sites I open from it, and don't want a lot of more dubious sites in the same browser I use for mail, banking, and other sensitive stuff.

That’s the best version of Tatum. I HATE HATE HATE when he settles for chucking outside shots.

It is. Just glad a Celtics fan agrees with me for once on this. It's not putting down Tatum when I criticize him for settling for 3s against Kleber or Luka or some slow or small guy. It's to say you can get by him with your skill and talent and destroy their defense. Shoot the open 3s when it's there.

The thing is, JT doesn't have a really quick first step, so he needs to take some side-step or step-back 3s so players that defend him on the perimeter can't just sag off a little. It opens up his drive game when he gets it going as it makes defenders step up to guard that when he's on and then he can step past and drive.

I agree he goes to it too much, but he needs to do a little more than just the completely open threes to maintain the threat and gravity for his team mates.

Aside from the turnovers, I thought he played mostly how he should have in game 1 given the way Mavs defense was focused on him, it really opened it up for the others incl. Brown. Don't mistake this as me saying he had a wonderful performance, but it was good enough with huge room for improvement.

This Boston team is just too good IMO. Brad Stevens put together a supercharged 2004 Detroit Pistons team. Best part for Boston is that they're locked in for years now, so they can go on a little bit of a run here.

Reminder that the Mavs lost game 1 in the Clippers & OKC series & also the Jazz & Suns series in 21' (they won all 4). The Mavs also lost Game 1 in the 2011 finals before they went on to win the Championship.

Jason Kidd has proven he is quite adept at making adjustments. Don't write the Mavs off yet.
