It's not the three point shot it is the penetration leading up to the three.

I still don't understand why anyone thinks Marcus Smart is a good basketball player. He's a defensive specialist PG who can't shoot a lick and in a system that makes him look like a better defender than he really is.

Someone is gonna overpay to try and convince Boston to let him walk this summer, whichever team is holding his contract after it's finalized is gonna regret it almost instantly.

He is the defensive system. The guy is otherworldly good on defense. You’re right that he can’t shoot a lick though

It doesn’t work like that though. If they were fully healthy rozier and Tatum wouldn’t have a combined 34 points on really good efficiency

Im more just referring to how wide open the shots are that Boston is getting. With Kyrie and Hayward that would only be worse. Im guessing Philly just didnt come ready to play tonight defensively. They can still pull this game out though bc of the talent advantage they have.

It does look really bad for Colangelo that Fultz is not even playing right now while Tatum is one of the big reasons why the Celtics are playing well right now.

The problem for you guys isnt that he cant shoot a lick. Its that he's utterly insistent on proving he can.

He's prone to some cold shooting nights every so often but make no mistake his impact is huge. He moves extremely well off the ball and even when he's not shooting it well teams guard him closely so he's still providing spacing. More importantly his defensive ability covers the majority of his impact. He's really versatile and can switch onto almost anybody and screens don't seem to affect him due to his size, frame, and agility, which makes him an excellent PnR defender.

All good, your point was clear no matter what, just wanted to add some nuance.
