He's been going 100% on offense, probably just needs conditioning for NBA. It definitely seems like an effort thing and it's possible he was told to go hard on offense and relax on defense by the pelicans coaching staff.
I hope not. I feel like that is the worst thing you can tell a rookie. If anything you would think they would say, I dont care about you're offense, I want you to get your timing and awareness defensively down.
I assure you it isn't the case, especially not with Bzdelik as the defensive coach.
I think Zion just isn't good defensively right now. He will work through it.
