From 3pt = 43% (65% eFG)
And 93% from the line.

What did people expect? He's still in his early 30s, a good athlete by NBA standards, not reliant on teammates in order to get himself shots, and has to pick up the slack from Klay's absence.

Curry elevates other players around him, not the other way around. His legacy has been secured well before this season.

Another day and this thread gets funnier. Just laughing at the clowns who agreed with the op.

I’m guessing Curry won’t last too much longer this season. He’s playing a bunch of minutes and thus his weak ankle with most likely give out again. He’s had issues with it his whole career much like Adonal Foyle did. I give it another 10 games before he’s out and they start tanking.

His whole career? I guess you mean except for the five year stretch from 12-17 when he averaged 79 games a year. And two other years when he played 80 and 74 games. Yeah, except for those it's been his "whole career."

Wow.. ok not his whole career only from 2009-2013, 2015-2018,2019-now. You know what, you’re right I was off.

I hate the term gravity. The people who use it believe that it means it can get anybody open. It doesn't work that way. Because Curry playing by himself can be allowed to go off as long as nobody can beat you. And if he's playing with lesser scorers you can defend them and let Curry get his.

When he is playing with equally talented scorers then single covering him becomes a challenge because the others get enough points to make Curry going off unbeatable.

It is really just defensive strategy.

Same story this year, when he’s not surrounded by multiple stars and superstars he can’t elevate his game and the teammates around him and win against a healthy opponent. I would bet he will try to use injury to shut it down this year too.

His legacy has taken a brutal hit the last year and counting. He’s more a system player than a superstar .
You know how I know you're right? I saw a whole bunch of house signs saying Steph was done and none that said he was still great (again)...

Your dislike of Curry is blinding you. 15-18? You know, you could look up the stats. 14-15, 80 gms, 15-16, 79 gms, 16-17, 79 gms, 17-18, 51 gms. Amd in '19 he broke his wrist, nothing to do with his ankle. So, yeah, you're off, way off.

EDIT: And going back to 2009? 09-10, 80 gms, 10-11, 74 gms. But you'd rather just make stuff up.

There's definitely a possibility. I feel like if there's one thing stopping this train, it's injury to Steph or long term to WIggins & Draymond. Every top player has an Achilles heel, Steph's is his injury record.

This is an extremely terrible take. Team defensive strategies arent to let steph score and defend everyone else... I mean, seriously?

I was going to respond to him, but ya, based on his post he doesn’t seem to fully understand what the term gravity means himself.

Just watching any highlight video will show how much steph messes with teams' defense. He is blowing by initial defenders and forcing help EVERY TIME. If he gets doubled on the perimeter he makes the right play most of the time. He is elite as an off ball player so it looks like he is getting open shots but its because of his skill level in being able to lose defenders and get a shot off the pass as good or better than any player in nba history.

Literally I don't know how little understanding one has of the game where they would think a coach wants his defense to play wiggins a little tighter and let steph beat them. Its just, i have no words..
