It’s a bad reflection on the league when theirs numerous video packages of him consistently looking for fouls in some of the most embarrassing ways.

That same foul baiting has allowed him to average the most points the last couple of seasons. Guys guarding him aren’t even trying to play defence on him in the regular season because they know he’s going to do everything he possibly can to draw a foul. It means most of his shots become easy lay ups & uncontested jump shots.
It’s also why his production tanks in the playoffs. He’s not used to players being allowed to actually defend him come the post season.

Aren’t you the same person that’s been berating those same voters the last couple of years for having Jokic ahead of Embiid ?

Ah I see you were referring to the straw poll voters.

By voters I mainly was annoyed at Zach Lowe and the Boston Mafia with the ringer.

You one the best part. The ringer had their quarter MVP as Jokic unanimously. It was hilarious to set Embiid leading by a landslide in the strawpoll. They don't hide their bias for Jokic, and their favoritism for him is very evident.

So what your basically saying is the voters picking Jokic display no common sense but the one’s picking Embiid do ?

They didn't like that Embiid was winning the straw poll at all star break 2 years ago and Zach Lowe went on a media blitz. Just like the Perkins stuff last year many claim turned the tide, this also did.

The ringer staff are the most biased in the industry they are basically fanboys. The stuff they spew out can barely be classified as journalism.

I don't see how this isn't Embiid.

35/12/6/1/2 with a TS of 65.1%, a PER of 34.9 and a BPM of 12.6

We might be looking at the best regular seasons of all time.

Yeah, it's actually pathetic. Load manages an entire 4-game road trip featuring tough matchups in Houston, Orlando, & Miami, then conveniently is ready to go when Philly comes back home against the Bulls. **** like this is why homeboy's never made it out of the 2nd round.

I'm a fan. I'm allowed to be like this. Jokic isn't playing anything like last year right now. Numbers and efficiency is down. If you think he is you're also being biased.

Not much for you to say about my previous point either. If you listen to their podcasts and read their articles it's a constant Boston and Jokic circle jerk.

Why would I react to your previous point if I don’t know much about them ?

Also, can you proofread your replies ? You’re first paragraph makes absolutely no sense lol

Yeah the proofing is my bad. Auto correct is the bane if my existence.

The point is fans have the right to be fan boys. Journalists should be unbiased and not so blatant about their favoritism.

So wait let me get this straight.
You’re mad at Zach Lowe for going on a “media blitz” about Jokic winning MVP over Embiid 2 years ago because it swayed voters when his point was proven last year when they won the championship ?

Because there's this guy with a 10.9 BPM, 31.3 PER and .643 TS%

Plays almost every game, has a better team record, has the narrative on his side(starting lineup averaging like 22 years of age, a GUARD, no voter fatigue, no short term memory about playoff failures--all these things are real, no matter what fanboy homers might think).

MVP was never about the absolute best advanced stats. Being good enough while having absolutely everything else going for you is more than enough.

Look at last year if you don't think that's the case. Jokic should have had 3 MVP's to Embiid's zero, if we're just pulling PER/TS% and BPM out of our arses and ignoring everything else a voter looks for when he casts his vote.

He simply had a sprained ankle recently, which there is clear video of.

Stop with the BS about ducking opponents. Dude averages 35ppg haha.

He ducked Jokic last year in Denver, and he's played considerably fewer away games than home games in his career.

It's absolutely legitimate to raise questions about his schedule. A suspect with a history of fraudulent behavior is considered guilty until proven otherwise.

He didn't duck anything, he sat out a game vs a team he eviscerated earlier in the season to manage his body, because regular season games just aren't that meaningful. 82 basketball games is a ridiculous number that no other league comes close to approaching. Why is this home/away thing being brought up so much? The teams and games are the same no matter where they are! He averages 35ppg, he isn't ducking anyone and isn't centering his body management around winning an MVP.

What is fraudulent exactly? I think you all are reaching for arguments to denounce a dominant player, which he is against any team. The whole thing is absurd. He sits out games to heal and try to stay healthy, and I don't blame him in the slightest for doing so. I'm sure he desperately wants to be healthy for the playoffs for once, which is and should be his top priority. The whole home/away thing is an argument based on nothing, as he dominates everywhere, just like the rest of the MVP candidates. It's a sad "argument".

There isnt a tough match up for Embiid, did you guys miss what he did vs the best defensive team in basketball. The Celtics relatively do ok vs him but lately he is a nightmare. Possession to Possession he puts a lot of presure on the defense.
