OKC is really good, but at no point watching them have I felt like I was watching one of the best teams ever like the regular season net rating suggests.

The Nuggets have played like champions and won some miraculous games to keep the series close, but the Thunder are still outscoring them by 8.8 PPG in the series. For the playoffs as a whole, the Thunder are outscoring their opposition by 13.5 PPG. That’s an even larger margin than during the regular season.

The Thunder have had 1 loss on a game winning 3 with 2.5 seconds left after a coaching error when Jokic puts up 40/20 and one loss in a crazy game in OT, but that doesn’t mean they’re not as good as advertised. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see them win every game from here on out or to see them lose to Denver in Game 6 and then go 9-0 the rest of the way from there.

If OKC keeps playing like this thers no way they'd go 9-0 the rest of the way. They have two huge blowout wins in the playoffs so far. They are skewing the margin of victory numbers, when in fact OKC has looked pretty pedestrian with some fairly major problems offensively, especially in this series.

I saw enough from last night to say that there will be a game 7. In Chuck's voice guaranteeeeeeeed.

Adelman really needs to trust strawther and Watson to hold the fort and give Gordon and Murray some rest end of 3rd and beginning of 4th quarter. Watson needs to play 20 mins and strawther 15 mins in game 6 and game 7. They're the x-factor. Russ is Russ and I'm not expecting anything else from him. He was horrible last night and needed to be benched.

There's 2 days of rest for jokic and Murray after game 6. OKC won't go away quietly but the nuggets had them game 4 and game 5 and just couldn't finish.

Yeah. Depending on the situation Jamal gotta get rest end of third or beginning of 4th from Strawther. Maybe Pickett could buy you a minute or two. You gotta do something to not let the starters get tired out in the 4th

Sga is playing as the leader of a team -

He isn’t coasting when he is constantly leading in plus minus and plays defense hard when his shots not falling.

But just like Jokic, he defers when the other guys have it rolling - yet still ended up with 31 a bunch of assist and rebounds and steals in the win…

Punishing SgA and Tatum for having strong teams when there are multiple games the nuggets lose if role players don’t make game winning 3s or dunks is illogical

If you want to see 1 v 1 and that’s the only way to judge a player - watch ufc

Only one of those players gets punished for having a good team. Read any iteration of the MVP thread.

Lol, as if Tatum was close to SGA this year? Guy is cheeks sometimes.

Where did I say they were close this year? Learn to read.

Recognizing generational greatness now makes people "pop diva fan club members". You Jokic haters are a miserable lot.

Your boy SGA has had plenty of stinkers in this series as well. The difference is he has the best whistle in the league + a stacked team around him to bail him out when he sucks. Shooters all over the floor for the Thunder. Joker could only dream of such a privilege. If he had SGA's supporting cast, this would be a sweep. Sam Presti is the real MVP.

turn the page i had caruso, cason and gordon as the three best players in the series, and out of the stars of the show (jokic, sga, jdub, murray, chet) i had both sga and jokic the worst.

i just called presti the thunder's mvp. sucks for denver that their gm isn't the mvp of their franchise.

you pop diva fandom member think everybody is a glazer like you.

but i'll tell you another difference that you've missed. sga doesn't take plays off on defense, and he's fantastic there. both have had stinkers, but sga always pays his due on defense. can you tell the same about the other guy?

Through 5 games, our two MVP candidates:

Jokic:

30/15/5 with 3 stocks and 5 turnovers on 56% TS

SGA:

28/8/7 with with 2 stocks and 2 turnovers on 58% TS

SGA has played Jokic to a standstill in this series, if not slightly better. Scoring at nearly identical rate, but SGA more efficient 57.8 TS% vs. Jokic 55.5 TS%. SGA higher assists and lower turnovers. Jokic higher rebounds and more minutes.

I don't get involved in the Jokic slander because it is indeed petty and foolish, but it's funny when people condemn a group for being "haters" then return the favor by being a hater themselves.

Don't forget to add the bail outs by Caruso, Wallace and LuFlop to help carry game 4 and 5 win.

He has definitely been doing less of that than Jokic this series, if we want to talk about flopping.

when you see a member of the jokic cult yapping about flops, you know they either are cynical or aren't really playing attention to the basketball part of jokic.

You can not speak about flopping without mentioning Jokic. Who was genuinely shameful last night in the 4th in his effort to con the refs. When it hit bonus time he literally stopped trying to play basketball lol
