Yes, they are all good. But when you are deciding on a rank for the season, you need to cite objective reasons for why your candidate should be placed above the other candidates. That requires that you present comparative statements which will paint one in a negative light by nature. It's only "hating" if the rationale is not objective or well supported if subjective. Otherwise, the offended party just doesn't want to face the truth.
Uh no?
It shouldn’t be that hard to understand. There wasn’t a discussion going on about who is going to win ROTY. It was about a single game, yet somehow every discussion is now seen through the lens of the yearly award.
On the year, Cade has had efficiency and turnover problems obviously, but his yearly efficiency has nothing to do with the discussion of an individual performance.
This began with Raptors fans literally starting the conversation about Cade’s 25-7-9 game by complaining about his efficiency (which was meh, but not horrible) and turnovers , and also implied he was stat-padding in garbage time.
He had 2pts and 1ast in the last 4 mins, so the latter is verifiably untrue.
It somehow than became a discussion about how Barnes has been more efficient than Cade this season overall, a point that nobody was arguing.
Cade’s overall efficiency in his strong 2nd half of the season has been fine, it’s absolutely on par with other rookies who have had his usage and production. If people want to hold the the first 20 games against Cade , fine I can understand that since it’s a season long award. But the player he was in the first month isn’t relevant on a game to game discussion basis.
Again, I think Barnes has the strongest case to win ROTY, mainly because he’s been consistently good all year and contributing on a playoff team. I really don’t give a **** about the award, however it seems like some Raptors fans think every post in this thread about another prospect is an attempt to place that prospect above Barnes for ROTY
