The amusing thing is that if Carmelo played tonight, and had a decent game, he would be FAR AND AWAY the MVP right now. As a result of not playing, he might not even be in the top 5 anymore.

Because if Melo was on, there would be loaaaaaads of **** coming from mainstream media and Knicks fans telling how miraculous he is, how poor his supporting cast is compared to Thunder and Heat, he doesn't have any other star, right? Any other big name, right? Any other All-Star. Damn, this is a team that doesn't turn the ball over and is damn efficient at three point shots, what does he need more offensively?

This game just killed the Heat's home record and Melo's mvp claim

1 game early in the season does nothing Carmelo is still a top candidate and the Heat are still a great team

No one RealGM has a vote so anything you guys say means nothing

I'll be fair. It wouldn't be surprising to see Durant get the MVP this season if the Thunder finish with a considerably better record than the Heat. Still early days but the media is definitely wanting him to get it and it's a good storyline as well. They'll of course ignore the face that he has much better help around him than LeBron.

All i have to say is the carmelo hate is flat out hilarious. You guys are the kings of snap judgments and small sample sizes.

Any of the other candidates sits out a game and the team still wins, we don't hear any of this BS.
