This was the best possible matchup for the Sixers in the first round because there isn't a superstar for the Sixers defense to worry about. Superstars can win a playoff game all by themselves. Sweep! The treadmilling Raptors will get swept by the Sixers.

from one raps fan to other rap fans, dont use injuries as reasons why they lose this series.. we're still arguing with ppl who say GSW lost because of injuries in 2019. and honestly, embiid was killing us all night with the ball inside. drawing doubles and triple teams and leaving open 3 pointers. it was like watching the Magic play in prime D12 era.

Hey Dirk mentioned this earlier but I want to chime in and officially discourage both fanbases from launching generalized attacks at the other fanbase. Thread has been getting heated and we need to walk it back.

If you disagree with a particular comment, quote it and disagee with it. Don't insult all of Canada or Pennsylvania.

Fans of a team obviously are not all the same person and that kind of stuff is a violation of forum guidelines and makes for a needlessly hostile environment here. Thanks good pals.

Sixers in four currently has 14 votes up from 2 directly after the win. The Raptors in four currently has 39 votes! LMAO!

I'm just waiting for Embiid to start showboating in game 2 now that Raptors are missing Barnes, Trent, Thad.....will he bring back the airplane? who knows.

Also, may god help Harden. I don’t think there’s a ghost of a chance that he shoots over 40% for this series.

Out of curiosity, did anybody take that bet?

No Leonard though. Need a superstar to lose that treadmilling tag. Hard to win the very last game without one. But, as a Sixers fan, i would rather wait to see if we can win this series before making claims about how easy the Raps will be to beat. I have watched plenty of Sixers series and I don’t have a lot of confidence in the team. Until we have 3 games under our belt and winning by 10+ with a minute to go, I am going to think the team is going to find a way to choke their way to a loss. :banghead:

When people need to lose weight they get on the treadmill. For former champion NBA teams that lose significant TALENT, they go on the treadmill. The Raptors are treadmilling.

All three of those players combined do not offer superstar impact.

So its a negative to win a chip? I don't get it. You guys have had multiple superstars and nothing to show for it. We just needed 1 for 1 year to get ours. I get you wanna talk trash but please use some sense and actually have some creativity.

The Raptors are a treadmill team. The Raptors downgraded their star players. DeRozan and Lowry are a better duo right now than FVV and Siakam. In fact they could have all four of them!

Toronto won 27 games and was in the deep lottery last season. They won 48 games this season ~12 months after trading a few long-term vets (Lowry and Powell) for youth. Barnes (20), Achiuwa (22), Trent Jr (23) and OG (24) are 4 of Toronto's top 6 players while FVV (28) and Siakam (28) are still on the upswing of their careers. After that, Toronto has 4 other players younger than 25 (Champagnie, Banton, Brooks, Flynn) that have played meaningful minutes at various times this year. They are anything but a treadmill team. Give it at least 3 more years before making a ridiculous claim like that.

The raps can lose in 4.

How did you come to the conclusion that "4/5 playing great"? Siakam had his lowest rebound total of the season and scored most of his points in the 2nd half when the game was already starting to slip away. FVV was saddled with 2 quick fouls which affected his entire game because he couldn't be near as aggressive yet he still fouled out early in the 4th. OG had 8 of his 20 points in garbage time and he was shooting 5/10 with 12 points and 1 turnover before the 4th. GTJ was 2/11 from the field and Achiuwa was 3/9 from the field while Boucher fouled out in 15 minutes.

Those are hardly "great" games. GTJ and Achiuwa were terrible, Siakam and FVV played below average games and Boucher and Birch were pretty good in limited minutes while OG was slightly above average. The only Raptor to have a great game was Barnes. He likely would have had a triple-double in his first career playoff game.

He's delusional. That's how.

What player had a great game? The one cut short by rickless play by Embiid?

so 24-7-3-3 and 0 TO is playing bad 50%FG

on the RS he averages 23-8-5-0-1 and 3 TO
