Team USA's chemistry is rough, we are getting by on talent + LeBron/KD/Ant being so damn good. We could legitimately lose to Germany or Canada.

Speaking of Ant, that guy is the future of the league.

Winning by 40 is not likely anymore because all of the opponents play hard and have NBA players. Team USA would have to attempt to force a much faster pace. As long as the opponents continue to end their possessions with a shot attempt instead of a turnover then these games will not be embarrassing laughers

The Mavs missed the playoffs without Brunson.

Yeah the train of thought in the OP is outdated at this point. There are no joke teams left in the tourney, basketball has grown so much in the last 20 years that it is a bit jarring. Even a nation that has existed for about a decade is surprisingly competitive vs. the world

For anyone stateside who missed it they're replaying this mornings game on USA at the moment.
From a fundamental standpoint it is better for a man to have nothing but be under the protection of Jesus Christ than for him to have everything he could ever want yet be completely without.

Am i the only one who thinks Ismael Romero could be a legit 3rd string NBA center? There are certainly worse guys out there.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.
