There's no 'may' about it. He's moving to the top of many people's lists right now.
Who are these many people?

Remember how Jokic won MVP as #6 seed over Embiid? Voters knew he won more games (46 vs. Embiid 45) albeit had much worse support. Spinners can enjoy more winning when their favorable players rest and team win, or claim winning when the team loss to highlight the "mvp". Both are wrong. The max player provided cap space hold and negative values during those win or loss.
They didn't give a **** about the games played. They gave it to him because he dragged a lottery team to the playoffs. Although Embiid had great stats too, and they had a better record.
You really think 1 more game won, is going to swing an MVP vote lol.
Weird hill to die on.
They (76ers) had a better record, Embiid did not, so there really was no case to be made.
Last year Jokic had 48 win, Embiid had 43 win. That's why so many people thought it was a robbery. At least you need to understand where people are coming from.

No case to be made????
Embiid averaged 33 ppg on 65 TS, and became the 2nd center to league to lead in scoring since Shaq. You're right that's not a case at all LMFAO.
Who thought it was a robbery? Fans???
At this point, this is weak man. This is a losing mentality. Embiid 100% deserved it over Jokic. The amount of salt you have with him winning sounds like he personally did something to you lol.
Explain how a robbery occurs with a landslide in number of votes for Embiid?
There is no point in continuing this conversation. You are clearly just saying the same things, spouting nonsense about a robbery, without any evidence apart from games played which is pretty weak.
I guess we have to agree to disagree.dygaction wrote:eyeatoma wrote:dygaction wrote:

You are so wrong. I have nothing against Embiid as a player, feel sorry for his injury, but dislike his comments regarding compaign mvp for himself. Jokic wanted no part of it at the end of last season so missed games and lost mvp, but he was healthy during the playoffs and won the championship. I also said, in case Embiid becomes an ATG and won the MVP this season, the previous MVP could be a stain on his legacy.

Shai has been simply incredible this season. He's leading the race for me.
An mvp can be a stain on his legacy? That's some wild reaching that I've never seen before.dygaction wrote:eyeatoma wrote:dygaction wrote:

Didn’t you hear? Kendrick Perkins used his Jedi mind trick to convince 72 of the 100 voters to choose Embiid. They didn’t want to vote for him, but they were forced into it by Perkins.

He thinks Perkins employing a Jedi mind trick is legit. Please don’t ruin it for him.

I thought a retired black player covering the NBA for the largest sports media accusing voters voting a white guy in a black dominated league racist might cause some voters to think twice or more time before casting the vote, especially there is a convenient reason/excuse not to vote for the guy - no three MVPs in a row before a championship... Those are not fundamentally basketball related issues, a shame happened to the mainstream sports media.

Nasty for sure. No voters would acknowledge it until years later as it reveals their lack of principle or easily being manipulated.

You have to change the league instead of faulting Joel, but his missing games hurt his ranking for me. Still #2.
