This feels like the Rockets are going to blow this game.

Midgets so shook they're throwing the ball over the backboard now...

It’s frustrating to see Jalen have these flashes but not put it all together consistently

Harry Palmer wrote:How can I take Charles seriously when he says stuff like he had no idea Sengun could spin like this.

Anyone who has watched Sengun >0 games knows about his spinning, to the degree that some have said it’s too predictable. No wonder his ‘young team/doesn’t know how to play’ routine sounds like Old Man Yelling At Cloud, he’s not even watching the team, he’s just leaning into cliches.

Charles is proof likeability gets you far. IF he had a normal personality I would **** despise him on TV. But for some reason I forgive him despite everything HArry said is accurate

Harry Palmer wrote:Also, I can say this now; Jalen Green’s game 1 was way overblown, just as his Game 2 is presently being overblown in the other direction. But that’s sort of the nature of playoffs, especially guys without a resume. Over the two games combined he’s playing pretty good, not blowing my mind either way other than his athleticism which always flashes.

Greens biggest issue is the lack of consistency. Dude has single digit games and then like 30 points the next night. His stinkers are really bad.

That’s been way less true this year, as the advanced stats show. He’s just turned 23, bit young to have him pegged imo. He got off to a terrible start to the season, but after that he has been waaay more consistent. The last 3 games of the season have people who didn’t watch fooled; he played limited minutes with mostly back-ups and no one was trying terribly hard as they had literally nothing to play for.

Another thing to note; Ime…who is VERY serious about this subject…says he’s as tough a player as he’s coached, has played through a bunch of injuries over the past 2 seasons no one talks about because Jalen doesn’t mention them. In Udoka’s words, ‘Jalen plays through everything.’

Edit: actually thought I was responding to another post saying ~ the same thing, didn’t mean to imply you don’t watch the Rockets.

No worries bud. Good to know his consistency isn't as bad as it used to be. I have no issues with it. He is young and it is part of the NBA growing pains.
