But keep crying and whining guys. Maybe the commissioner will change his mind after more whiny posts.

Durant had the right to sign where he wanted.

We have the right to think it was the move of a gutless coward.

Excuse me? He got to rest, hide on defense and be guarded by Richard Jefferson. THE REAL GOAT!

He was playing D on James early in the series with success...Everyone was asking if he had taken over from James...He was asking for the ball down the stretch vs james and scoring at will....Never saw him rest, except on the bench...Guys a beast...And your boy's done for another year...With nothing to show...

The Warriors did nothing wrong and should be applauded for building this team within the rules.

However, going forward, it's absolute bull-**** that no other team in the league will be allowed under the cap rules to build a Big 4 of HOF players in their prime to compete with them, barring one or multiple players taking MASSIVE paycuts, not comparable to the slight paycuts some or all of the Warriors Big 4 will eventually take. Cleveland for example is stuck at a Big 3 and cannot match Golden State. Boston has a Big 2, if you want to be generous and call Horford and Thomas that, and cannot match Golden State by adding 2 additional ones. etc., etc., etc.

A series of coincidences lined up perfectly for the Warriors to be able to sign Durant, and hat's off to them for getting it done. But I now have a big problem going forward if they get to continue to run out this Big 4 in additional seasons while all other teams are prevented from being able to make a similar signing and prevented from even building a team with a chance to win a best of 7 series against them.

This is true, but the players did it to themselves by not agreeing to a cap smoothening that's why while I agree and it sucks, it's also hard to feel bad for any individual players, but for the fans of other teams who won't get this same opportunity, it does suck.

Everyone forgets this. Adam Silver presented the idea of cap smoothing and NBPA rejected it because they saw it as a way for the owners to delay the money owed to the players.

Welp, here's what you get for doing that.

Know that watching this overpowered team win this title is just as painful for you as most of the NBA fanbase.

Know that NOBODY can ever take away the historic 2016 Championship run because it will forever be etched in history. No matter what happens in the future, no matter how many titles Golden State wins, Cleveland will always be the team that came back from 3-1 against a 73-9 team.

Respect but I think most Cavs fans, at least myself, I'm good. 1 chip is worth 10 for a city that was a barren wasteland of suck. I don't even live there anymore but that run last year was just gold. Like you said, it can never be taken away and I feel, "if" we ever win another one or never win another again, it still doesn't take those 2016 memories away in the end.

All I know, our team needs rebalancing and I just hope CLE DOES NOT turn into 2013-2014 Heat where that roster was completely poop against the Spurs and you could see it when you're relying on Rashard freakin Lewis and Michael Beasley. Unfortunately, we just gotta hope, other teams "want" Love, TT, Shump, Frye, RJ....those 5, they're for sale, who's buyin? 8-)

Is LeBron going to pay him under the table? Personally, I'd love to see how how 3 ball dominant players share the ball in Irving, Paul and LeBron.

You got TT and JR for another 3 years...Increased salaries each year...15 and 13 mil this year wasnt it....lol

He wasn't even the Cavs' priority on defense, they gave him the Harrison Barnes treatment, and credit to him, he capitalized in a big way, but that doesn't really scream superstar to me. And it seemed that Curry had more of an impact for the Warriors, just like LeBron had more of an impact for the Cavs. Durant is gonna be FMVP because he scored the hell out of the ball and played good defense, but it's hard to ignore that there were two guys that quite honestly seemed to affect the game more (LeBron and Curry), and that Durant wasn't even really the main focus of the opposing defense for the vast majority of the series.

really dude? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Just calling it how I see it. He destroyed the 1 on 1 coverage, so he gets credit for that.

Thing is, most superstars don't get 1 on 1 coverage (sometimes 1 on 0 coverage) over the course of an entire game, or an entire series, or an entire playoffs, because the defense makes them their priority, and forces other guys to beat them. In GS, it seemed that the other guys were actually the defensive priorities, and Durant was the beneficiary of that.

I didn't see one defense these playoffs actually defend Durant the way he used to be defended in OKC, outside of some really short stretches, because everyone else on the team together, but especially Steph, scares them more.

Love was playing ok, i am surprised he missed so many shots, he was a pain to deal with. He was good with rebounds, and low post moves.

NBA shares 50% blame as it was reported the deal they offered the PA wasn't a good faith deal and was likely to be rejected by the PA. No side is absolved for the weird offseason last summer

KD deserves fmvp. But curry was better in at least 3 out of 5 games

Yeah, when you don't factor in defense, on-ball on Lebron and help side, turnovers and timely scoring.

Curry needed KD more for his legacy. Was Curry even the best PG of the series? Lucky he has to defend the worse player on the court.
