Vince also said that Kobe's 81-point game and overall style of play was hurting the sport and sending the wrong message to kids. And Pippen? He said LeBron was better than MJ before LeBron had won any rings yet. Something tells me you didn't value their opinions back then.

Michael Jordan, Isiah Thomas, Kevin McHale, Elgin Baylor, and Doc Rivers are all former NBA players. By your logic, they should be the best judges of talent. Instead, they have all been total disasters as general managers in this league. Meanwhile, guys like R.C. Buford, Sam Presti, and Daryl Morey have been more successful despite never playing in the NBA. Playing the sport at a high level doesn't automatically mean you're good at analyzing it objectively, and you don't need to have played basketball at a high level to be able to analyze it.

I think he just meant Kobe is Jordan like. Obviously he's not Jordan.

I'm going to the watch party at Golden One Center, and the hype for Fox-Ball was so big in sacramento that we sold out the watch party tickets! Kinda sucks we won't see that matchup...

It really wouldn't shock me at all that they're resting Ball just so he doesn't have added pressure going against Fox tonight. He's probably had a pressure packed few days as it is. They are giving the kid a break.
