Its between him and Jokic right now, but I would personally give it to Lebron if he finishes strong

The Lakers would have to win out rest of their regular schedule , for him to be consider, but you never know Lebron owns sport media.

Somebody made me realize that Embiid's missed games this season are as many as Jokic's missed games in his CAREER!

Bron is not right back in the race just because he played well last night, that’s not even a surprise, but he’s only going to play around 50 games total which has lost him far too many 1st place votes. Embiid is suffering the same fate and he’s played 2 more games then Bron this season. Those were 2/3 of the top contenders.

What was looking like one of the best MVP races in a long time has become the Jokic show. Especially since they’ve played quite well since Murray went down (11-2j, that just adds the final nail in the coffin.

Minutes played:

Jokic 2210
Bron 1420
Embiid 1389

That gap is just way to massive.

Yet he didn’t win MVP last season, or the season before that, or the season before that. In fact, he hasn’t been named the MVP for the last 8 years now even though he has been universally recognized as the best player on the planet for a majority of that period.

That’s just a really stupid statement.

Another shocking stat is that Jokic has 10 more double doubles than games Embiid has played this year.

First time wandering into the thread. I assume the massive disrespect being done to CP3 not even being an option has been covered...?

This is why the “LeBron deserves the MVP every year” narrative is beyond stupid. No. He doesent. Not even close. There are so many players having better seasons them him with less help and have better records.

Mavs with a much needed win over Wizards. Luka finished with 31p/12r/20a with only 1TO.
Considering the games missed and team record, I don't have Embiid, LeBron, Harden, Durant, and Curry.
To me Jokic has the MVP locked long ago. 2-4 in MVP should be Giannis/Luka/CP3/Gobert with no particular order.
