Exum is now a good spot up shooter, but he’s not as athletic and quick. He’s a much better player now.

Not a fan of Giddey’s game but his passing is ridiculously good

Finland is just not that good enough and its showing. Porous defense while Australia is letting him cough up the ball and let the other guys hurt them.

Aus looking for a knockout here. Closing with their best 5 to end the 3rd and even with a 10+ lead.

Finland got no chance. All they can do is make these risky passes for cutters. Which is hard to do with guys like Thybulle

Scoreboard flattering Australia at the moment. Finland look better than a 20 point difference.

Australia’s D has been the difference.

A good sign is they built their lead with Mills not involved.

Slow start but Australia gets it done easy in the end 98 - 72.

Mills - 25/8/2 and 4 steals - 50% shooting
Giddey - 14/9/8 - 40% shooting
Ingles - 13/4/2 - 37% shooting
Exum - 10/2/3 - 60% shooting

Markannen - 19/8/4 - 41% shooting

Finland probably had more turnovers than field goals in the second half. Just too difficult passes all around.

And 23% from three, not a recipe for success.

Not surprising though, the Finnish backcourt (especially with maxhuni not 100%) was expected to have trouble with the Aussie perimeter defense..

Somehow both teams managed to disappoint

Team was better with Mills on the bench.

Perfect proof that +/- is a pointless stat.

Good teams are going to eat him alive on defense.

He is a national legend but needs to acknowledge he isn’t what he used to be.
