Blazers fan. I'd gladly trade Billups for Kidd. Just because a coach might not be elite or even very good tier doesn't mean that they are as bad as the general board makes them out to be.

you need to look deeper in WHY macs shot horrible from 3. Take any other series they played, most of their makes was from corner 3s. PJ and DJJ are HORRIBLE off the break 3 pointers. Celtics gave them those open off the break 3 pointers and took away the corner 3s. They will likely ocntinue to shoot this bad from 3 if they don't get corner 3s.

What about Kyrie, he was missing open shots, he normally makes?

True, you can say Kyrie will make his next game. But they need PJ and djj to score.

So, what if Kyrie would have made two of five from three season average. Overall he would have been 8-19 from floor which is also season average. That means Mavs still lose by 12. Going to need more than better shooting Kyrie to move forward.

I don't believe the series is over from game 1. Seemed like everything was falling for the Celtics. KP shot 61%, that's not exactly sustainable. Celtics shot nearly 40% from 3. Meanwhile, Kyrie and Luka had off games. Even their open shots were bricking. That won't last.

With nearly 3 days off, the Celtics can go cold and that should be enough time for Kidd to figure something out. I believe the Mavs will even it up Sunday.

Holiday, brown and zinger already signed long term. Tatum can sign and will sign max extension this off-season. That leaves horford with one year left who could, but won't retire. And white with one more year how is eligible for extension this year. Even if white wants too much and leaves, the whole team is under contract for next year

Mavs looked like a team that was used to defending teams with players they don't really have to account for defensively, especially in transition. That doesn't fly against the Celtics - everyone on the floor for them is dangerous. I don't think you can let the Celtics share the ball - that's when they are at their best imo. I'd take my chances with trying to guard them more straight up, but then again, the Mavs don't really have the level of defenders to offer a lot of resistance if you go that route.

Because he didn't do poorly. He had a good, not great game. Imo he just needs to clean up the turnovers. The Mavs were throwing 2 or 3 guys at him and he was making great reads. No need to score if you're getting doubled and can get your teammates cooking

Porzingis and Horford pull him away from the rim. Their ability to to space the floor and pull rim protectors out without sacrificing their own rim protection on the other end is a big part of why Boston has been so historically dominant this year statistically.
