It's absolutely crazy how much more important Jokic is to his team than SGA. I love SGA's ability to score, but it's really not even in the same ballpark. Jokic is everything to this team.

SGA getting that quick bucket to rack up some patented late points and cheap cheers from the crowd, only to end up perhaps costing them the game. The old bitter man in me enjoyed that a bit.

SGA was the only one who could score down the stretch

And keeping the ball in SGA's hand is the right call. He's a 90% ft shooter who almost always makes the optimal decision. Watching it live I didn't see an issue with the way he played down the stretch.

If anything he should have had the ball more.

Denver was shading and just waiting to double. I'm surprised that OKC didn't have a player who could take advantage of that consistently.

Jalen is supposed to be able to be that guy, you need someone to attack that and make the defense pay, but he really wasn't that guy today, next game he needs to be that guy. Likely doesn't play as poorly, but I don't have enough history of him in the playoffs to make that claim

Chet really god bodied tonight. Got dominated on the glass, got postered by Gordon, missed a crucial breakaway dunk in the 4th quarter, and then topped it all off by missing two crucial free throws. Hopefully he can bounce back and doesn’t let this turn him into a mental midget the rest of the series.

OKC's first round matchup was too easy. They just faced adversity today and wilted under pressure. The Nuggets are former champs and way too battle tested, just played a Game 7 a few days ago so when the game was close, the advantage was theirs.
