this game is only close because Braden Smith forgot how to play basketball, and absolutely can not handle the on ball pressure

0-5 fg and 5 turnovers in the first half

Great college player, but he's slow. Just won't be a factor in a much quicker/faster league. State has figured this out and now they back in this game.

Hard to play against Purdue when you can’t breathe on Edey

You can't camp in the paint like you can in college either. He's got no quickness. can't cover ground.

Braden Smith's play style looks so much like Malachi Flynn.

DJ Horne remind anyone else of Tyrese Maxey? Not that I think he will be that type of player, but this dude def. is getting to the league and wouldn't be surprised to see him have a solid career.

Also has anyone else notice how out of it Bilas is on the call tonight? Wonder what's up i've never seen him call a game so pessimistically

His future is overseas, g-league at best. He's an undersized scoring guard who is already 23 and not even elite at scoring.

The Edey whistle discourse this game is hilarious, he's taken 2 free throws so far, was stripped twice with no foul called and also called for an offensive foul.
He's had what, 2 fouls called in his favour? Both of which were genuine fouls

He looks like a deer in the headlights this game. Two backcourt violations bringing the ball up the court at this stage is insane.

5 turnovers and almost a few more, while bricking everything he's taken so far.

The guy has taken the 4th most free throws in a season in the history of men's NCAA basketball. It's okay to say dude is a free throw merchant at this level. Doesn't take away how good he is.

1) Your first sentence is a fact, your second sentence is an opinion which is a negative spin on an objectively positive trait. Which you're entitled to, but I'm going to call it out because it isn't logical.

2) People are posting about this specific game, so anything else is irrelevant. He hasn't had any kind of special treatment this game so far at all as I explained above

That possession is Purdue in a nut shell. Foul merchants all over the court. These dudes get every whistle and flop around. Awful basketball
