Hornets have never said they are looking to dump Okafor. The only reason this is even discussed is because Sacto offered a deal for us to dump him, so that means we want to dump him apparently.

How are they selling the trade down there? Money saver or wanted to trade down for those players?

If Chris Paul gets traded, the trade will be the NBA version of the Wayne Gretzky trade minus the championship Chris Paul never won.

I really hope for the sake of the league this trade doesn't go through. I mean people here fantasize about what a combo Paul and Howard would be like. Unless you're the Celtics or Lakers, dreams aren't meant to come true.

Money saver, didn't feel it was a big talent drop, wanted an extra pick because we only had one, need depth.

Chris Paul is better than anyone on the Magic's roster including Dwight. If they trade him just to dump Okafor Hornet fans should riot.

I actually agree with him. When Dwight develops a post game and improves his passing abilities on the post, then I'll say he's better than CP3. But a healthy CP3 is better than the current Dwight Howard.

It's funny that you guys are knocking Dwight Howard's offensive game.

How about let's bring up Howard's defensive game. Is there anyone close to him in terms of that department? There's a reason not many can excel in both offense and defense--it's tiring on the body.

Mutombo, who has limited post game, has nothing but praises because he's a great defensive player. But Howard can't cut a slack because he has limited offense? Howard's defense is near, if not better, than Mutombo already.

You do know that outside of LBJ, almost 99% would pick Dwight. So you are saying CP3 is better than Dwight? yeah..

CP3 is a better basketball player than Dwight Howard. What's so much of a stretch about that? I mean...it's true.

saw this idea at orlando magic zone. with otis smith's admission that he has been talking with the raptors regarding hedo, can it be because they are third team orlando is looking for?

orlando trades jameer, vince, ryan anderson and orton and picks for cp3 and okafor.

then orlando ships okafor to toronto for hedo.

makes sense for the raptors because with bosh leaving, okafor can start at C and bargnani at the 4.

He's more of a complete player, but it's really pointless to compare a point guard to a center. It's not like we're talking about comparing a PF and center or a SG and SF. These are two completely different players.

You can make the point regarding which player you'd rather have and I think good points can be made for both players, but you can't say that one is better than the other and have credibility.

mainly because of the position dwight plays and the dearth of good centers in the NBA

Both are superstars, it's difficult to compare them, they are so different.

What is SURE is the combo CP3+Howard would be awfully nasty!

Comparing a Pg to a center is like comparing apples and oranges. Ask anyone outside of NO and Orlando who you would build a team around then come back to me.
