That is why the Magic are also looking for renters besides the Nets, Lakers, and Mavs...

A 6 month rental? That ish kray

Some teams think they're persuasive enough....especially when it factors leaving $25-30mil on the table..

Bynum is definitely a better trade piece than Lopez, but lets not act like Bynum is Mr. Dependable. He has injury issues as well.

Youll have to gut a small market team to land Howard then worry about having to convice him to sign with you in Cleveland, Minesota, Bobcats, Goldenstate, etc after 6 months. That ish Kray

I never said he was. But the matter of the fact is Bynum has been healthy for over a year now, was LA's best player in the post season and dominated Okafur and Chandler, and thus far looks like a force. On the other hand you have brook who has a MAJOR question mark now.

My issue is that certain fan bases think that they need to force their opinion down realgms throat and they will ultimately decide where Dwight gets traded to. Bottom line is Otis will decide and do whats best for the Magic organization...

He's still a beast on the defensive end and last season led the league in blocks with one arm, he got his armed cleaned up in the off season and is going to be a lot better this season now healthier.

I don't understand why Lakers fans (especially you) try to downgrade Brook's play and potential. People talk about Bynum's ceiling all the time, yet I never hear anyone say anything about Brook's potential. You know he is a 23 year old center after all. He was set for his break out season this year but that unfortunately has been ruined by an injury.

Besides, I don't know if you've been noticing but Nets could have a potential great second asset in Marshon Brooks. Brooks is leading all rookies in scoring currently (15.3 PPG), and scoring at an impressive 48.9% (also done in just 21 MPG). If Brooks can play at even slightly lower level for the rest of the season, Nets have a major trade asset.

Wow especially for his debut ..everyone else had 3 games under them drew is just simply too big and skilled. If im LA I wait untill the ASB and see if Gasol is back to his 09' form if not im delaing him for a PG and running everything thru Bynum

Happy New Year Everyone!

Grant Hill is truly a likeable guy, Bynum not so much. I think thats why people root for him and not so much because he is a Laker.

Yes, because they were won by Kobe and Pau. Replace Bynum with any average center in the NBA and they still win them.

Since then, though, Bynum has more than surpassed Pau.

Nah, in 2010 Doc Rivers & all the Celtics said had Drew not been there we would have beat them again.

Not trying to be a Bynum apologist because I am a Lakers fan, but I want to remind all these " injury prone" club that Bynum is not as fragile as he is made out to be. Two of his injuries that affected him for 3 years were freak accidents. (one was stepping on Odoms foot and the other one Kobe crashed into his legs) Not anything like Oden were he dunks the ball and he is out for a season. Here is the deal with Bynum, he has a structural anomaly that hasn't affected him since high school. To classify him as injury prone is inaccurate in my opinion. Just my two cents.

If Bynum was not a Laker he would not put up stats like that... He is an extremely good post player, but he travels to get in to position to hook his big ass arm around the defender. Both moving your feet and hooking are illegal.

Most players in the NBA these days have such pathetic footwork that they don't recognize a legit post move when they see one. I laugh whenever these morons shout for a travel whenever Drew goes to a double pivot. Luis Scola bewilders the n00bs in similar fashion.

ARE YOU KIDDING US RIGHT?? Or you didnt watch the last 4 years of basketball. Bynum was injured in 2008, 2009 and 2010 playoffs, and Pau Gasol did play as a center and PF, fighting basically alone against the Celtics froncourt, and Howard in 2009.
