I do like the fact that he's a willing defender. He seems legitimately interested in being a two-way player.

He's a great defender, much better on that end than Parker

Parker just flat out can't defend.

To me his worse case is Igoudala: his shot never really develops, he never truly develops that great scoring ability but he does have an ability to be an excellent defender. His best case to me is a prime Vince Carter with an ability to defend.

Iggy was handing out 5 dimes a night back at Zona. He reached 6 apg in Philly. He's an outstanding facilitator. Wiggins has a ways to go. Defense is only one facet of Iggy's ability.

I guess Wiggins reminds of Dominique Wilkins. Tremendous athletic ability and can score pts. Not in the Jordan/James category though.

The one who can't defend has better defensive rating and PPP defensive. Good try

I think the type of players Kansas has greatly impacts Wiggins ability to get assists. What I meant was really that he'll be an excellent defender/ball handler on the perimeter who might not take over games but can do a lot of the other stuff. It wasn't meant to be a 100% "He will replicate Iggy in every way". I think he's already a much better scorer and has more aggression than Iggy ever did.

One great game doesn't erase 20 other games of underwhelming performances. The guy scored 9 points in the previous game. Inconsistency is not the mark of a great player.

19 freebies from touch fouls + made layups that he would otherwise miss with his sub 40% finishing rate.

Wiggins is still mediocre.

Lol your rating and PPP will definitely look better when your coach has you hidden out on d defending the Keith bogans of the world because you're such a defensive liability.

There is something you guys are totally overlooking: West Virginia played man to man tonight. As many have said, Wiggins will excel in the NBA because his play-style is better suited for this type of defense, as it is the case for most athletic slashers. Tonight's game is an indicator of this.

Seems like you don't even understand how defensive stats are calculated. Pathetic.

Must point out Barnes also had a 40 pt breakout game in his freshman season that everyone thought was the "turning point" for him. He soon returned to the doldrums. This was a great game for Andrew, but probably an anomaly.

What a difference one game makes.

Somebody just indicated he'd be comparable to Dominique Wilkins, lol.
Setting the bar a bit high I think.

Wiggins is going to make a lot of people look silly and when he does I have a feeling the excuses will turn to "well he is still no Lebron James"

You're the one using flawed stats. Watch a game and you'll see Jabari looks lost on D.
