Guess you´re right because of John Wall and Reggie Jackson, think those two guys will be selected...

He has had good support from celebrities (singers, soccer players etc) in Italy and lot of social networks buzz (Danilo Gallinari #NBAVote) ... I'm a little puzzled and disappointed, he deserved at least the bench :banghead:

LOL Gallinari? Please....the voting was already enough of a joke as it was.

Who made that rule? This is not the All Nba team. How many times do we have to repeat that. This is the All Star game. You noticed the word star in there? You can't have an All Star game without it's biggest star specially on his farewell season. I know you're a Celtic fan so hatred of Kobe probably comes naturally but you need to rethink what the all star game is about. Do you think anyone would give a rats ass about the all star game if you have a bunch of nobody's in there? Without it's stars the NBA would die.

David West has been an all star player before. How come he's not starting in the game? What if he retires after the season? It's his farewell season though! Come on man!

Kobe Bryant has been an All star more seasons than David West has played. Ridiculous that you would bring that up.

Here you'll find the answer why Zaza was so high in the voting:
http://www.eurasianet.org/node/76846

With an eye to the timeline, Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili has tweeted his endorsement, while Defense Minister Tina Khidasheli posted photos and a video showing her throwing a basketball with soldiers and their children in support of Pachulia.

Few years ago we did it the same in Poland when Marcin Gortat had his best season in Phoenix Suns. Almost all celebrities in Poland were supporting Gortat but finally we didn't manage, although it was close.

first if all, it's his team who listed him at SF, not the NBA. so why would you say it's the NBA who is doing the rigging? second, and i do hope you realize this, maybe he wouldn't have gotten so much vote if he was listed as a guard? ever think of that? fans can only vote for 2 spots in the guard position in the west, whereas they can vote for 3 spots for the frontcourt. a lot of fans might not cast a vote for him if he was listed as a guard, but fans may allow leaving a spot open for him as a frontcourt.
socal74 wrote:You do understand that the person with the most votes would start right? If he was listed as a guard, Westbrook would be sitting and Zaza would be starting with KD and Kawhi as frontcourt players.

you do understand that maybe if he was listed as a guard, he wouldn't even be the leading vote-getter. ever think of that?

i for one can't, with a clear conscience, leave out Curry or Westbrook just to vote in Kobe if he was listed as a guard.

the voting would change for sure if he was listed as a guard.

Of course, no !

Every year is different. Before this season takes off, I think most of the NBA fans were certain that Anthony Davis and Blake Griffing will be elected to the starting-five. So we would have two PFs. Situation changes dramatically and there will never be a good answer if this season is better to select positions separately or maybe just vote for any 5 players.

It's OK the way it is. It's just a fun game to watch.

Get rid of positions, get rid of coaches picks.

12 highest vote getters in a fan exhibition, let them go nuts. Everyone complains how boring the games are each year anyway.

What does the fact he is European have anything to do with him being an all-star.

And yes I have seen quite a few games of his... in fact watched him only just the other day against the Dubs where he was their best player. But All-Star? LOL!! give me a break. The guy is not playing that well. He is just the best of a very average Denver team.

He has only had 1 game where he has scored more than 30 points... and he is basically just an offensive player. His defense is average. A 6ft 10 softie who shoots 3 pointers at a very average rate.

Kobe is playing, and no big man is in the starting 5 for the West

Yeah, the All Star game isnt a joke at all

Wait, where's the big man starting in the East?

I do agree with Shaq. I think there should be a center position. It's actually a really good position now.

I agree with Shaq. The center position deserves some love. Of course small forwards are going to be most popular in today's game. They can do everything in today's game.

But whatever. It's the all-star game. Not a big deal.

I don't see the big deal about Kobe starting and I don't think it's a "joke", it's what the fans want to see. Even though Draymond deserves the spot more based on his play this season, it will be a hell of a lot more fun to see Kobe out there for one last time. Remember MJ's last All-Star game? Fans love moments like that, and that's important for the league.
