That really doesn’t say much about Ball at all. What’s with people on here carrying on like he’s a rookie Magic level guard?

The Lakers stupidly decided to rely totally upon him in his rookie season instead of having some other decent playmaking options too.

It makes sense for Lonzo’s development but it’s pretty absurd for a team that wanted to build on their awful recent history.

When you’re relying on Enis, Ingram, Clarkson and Hart to run the offence you’re going to have a bad time.

Ehh the triangle didnt and i wouldnt really say the Warriors have a dictator running the offense it really depends on the personnel

Any system will work when you have Jordan/pippen and Kobe/shaq also the warriors have multiple playmakers unlike most teams so they don’t need one dominant captain like most

Yea, it's pretty clear Lonzo makes a difference. Though, as others have stated, they need to get another playmaker and/or backup PG. They can't play like this whenever Lonzo gets hurt.

The guy with below average PER of 11 missing is why the team is sinking?...... O K

The Lakers are a mess internally right now and it became public with the meeting to air the issues out. The way I see it is this:

Lonzo and KCP are doing bad but they get all the minutes and starts. I guess that KCP is only playing because he has the same agent as LBJ and it's a favor. Clarkson and Randle are producing but getting less minutes - it hurts their long term value if you look purely at stats as you can only do so much in 20+ vs 30+ minutes - they are probably not happy.

The players probably realize they aren't playing to win as a team - I mean both Walton and Bogut said something along the lines of things are happening because of the upcoming cap space for next year etc etc. So if that's the case, what else do you have to play for but being selfish to pad your stats for future reward? And the guys who don't care about that, they are just going through the motions.

These types of quotes are from people who do not follow and watch Laker games.

I havent read the thread yet but will go back and read and see if what I have said has been mentioned a million times, which I am sure it has.

But the lakers just arent good. Dont know what people see in their core to think they are even within 3 years of making the playoffs. Their hope has to be all in getting stars to come. And right now I dont see why PG, Cousins, etc would want to go there. Only way I see anyone going is if they teamed up before hand to know at least 2 stars were going.

We have heard the last 3-4 years all these steals of the draft the lakers keep getting in guys like clarkson and kuzma, how ingram and julius can/will be special. Yet they are the 2nd worst team in the league still. Nothing about their team tells me they have as good or better a future than even the kings or suns in their division alone. Even the Suns are starting to win now. 6-4 in their last 10 with Booker doing work.

Lakers need to do anything to get pg or cousins. Hope the thunder and pelicans fall off in the next month, then offer either team Kuzma, Julius and Deng (as salary filler) for a pg, singler, etc. And thats even if a team like the thunder or pelicans even want to take on the bad contract of luol.

Lakers are now on a 4 game winning streak with Lonzo back.

Yup, Lonzo is that guy.

Lonzo's going to be a great player. To truly appreciate his greatness you should absorb as many games as you can now.

There's something special about witnessing a player morph into a superstar.

Look at the "Pistons game" for Lebron where he finally put it all together and showed he was destined to be the most unstoppable force we've ever seen.

If you'd just turned the TV on that night you wouldn't have been able to appreciate that performance as much as someone who watched him his first couple of seasons.

Calm down.

They beat the Hawks, Kings and Mavs in that streak.

The only impressive win was the Spurs even if they were depleted.

They look slightly better but they're still garbage.
