Oh yeah, Boston are going to come in with Jaylen Brown + Rozier + Sacramento's mid first.

That should make Lakers fans very happy. Less competition for good AD offers in the off-season, right?

Well seems like pelicans want Tatum over everything else.

There wont be a better offer on the table then the one offered this trade deadline.
Zo, Hart, Ingram, Kuzma and Zubac + 2 first round picks? Forget about it

The question should be, is the Lakers offer today better than the slightly worse Lakers offer in the summer (if it is worse at all)+ the possibility of a better Boston offer? That's clearly a no, imo. Pel's absolutely did the right thing in waiting

For NOP to get the best offer from Boston they will need the lakers to come back to the table with same offer (minus Zu, traded). IF they dont bring that offer, boston will offer all kinds of deals that never include tatum.

And why wouldn't they? I honestly dont see any of Kawhi, KD, ect. going there this off-season, but who knows?

So that should make you happy, right? It will be easy to beat that offer for the Lakers.

I'm gonna give it a hard no, on NOLA's part. Boston's offer can trump the Laker's best offer. A twitter rumor I had read included Horford in a version of the proposed deal for AD. I wonder what NOLA would look like with Tatum and Horford with Jrue and Randle. Use the picks to get a SG and maybe that's a middling playoff team.

Would be funny if they retooled on the fly and ended up with a competitive team in 2019-2020.

Yes , Celtics won't offer Tatum and Knicks won't trade 1st round pick if they get Top 3 pick and if they get worse pick then their offer is worse than Lakers offer.

Lakers won't be trading for AD now, so Boston has no one bidding against them. I don't see Ainge offering anything close to what LA did. Largely because AD will be a one year rental.

All the people cheering when NO didn't take the offer from the Lakers will be the same ones laughing at NO if it turns out to be the best offer.

Better to take a calculated risk with a higher expected return. Even if this fails, they made the right choice.

If you look at history, you will see trade packages that go down in value as the rental period comes down. NO went from having 1.5 years to 1 year this summer and unless AD & dad change heart and mind, the Celtics will offer much less than what NO dream.

They will offer expensive over the hill player like Horford/Hayward, Smart and 6th man Brown plus 2-3 FRPs. Keeps you team average and treading water but no superstar potential.

No because Demps will probably take it  I mean, i would enjoy it if Kyrie did leave regardless (then again, it would be nice for the knicks to get something, they've suffered enough).

Probably not. It was all about that tampering. I don think the Lakers pursuit of AD is over. They will move on to other free agents this coming summer and following season.

The Lakers can and will make the same or even a better offer in July.

I bet they don’t.
I also bet if the Lakers get into the playoffs, the youth core’s value will move drastically higher.

But I am not a betting man so don’t come at me.

There is a risk of course that Ainge low balls and the Lakers offer is reduced but none of Ingram, Kuz and Ball are worth worrying about.
