Why is it now a problem with Russell and Kyrie? Makes no sense. Russell was the ultimate team player last season and will have 0 issue having a guy like Kyrie take some pressure off him.

If this does turn out to be true I expect Tobias or Butler to be the other target forming a solid trio.

It’s the other side of the court where the D’lo Kyrie pairing fails. I am with you that they could share the load offensively.

I get the concerns there. Some people are having a can they share the ball question though which makes no sense. Both are better defensively then the POR backcourt so I do think the it's overblown. The Nets do play zone a bunch which will help limit any issues on that end against certain matchups. Plus having an emerging defensive C like Allen helps too. While a little concerning and not the perfect match defensively I think its overblown.

seems to me, rock nation was built by a native born guy who built his own empire. there's a definite "aura" about rn. i feel rn is really a reflection of jayZ. i think kyrie wants to go that route

kyrie to nets, so that's one off the board for lebron

The agents do the paperwork and bitch work. Irving is too dumb to handle all that

According to a source with ties to Roc Nation, the organization expected to become Irving’s new representative, the All-Star point guard is prepared to sign with the Brooklyn Nets when he becomes a free agent next month. A separate league source told the Herald that his team (not the Celtics) has received the same information and is operating under the belief that Irving wants to join the Nets.

The least of the Nets worries defensively were in the backcourt. We got destroyed by opposing bigs this season...I don't really see how having Irving and Russell at PG/SG really means much when last season we had Russell and Joe Harris starting back there for the most part.

I think either Jimmy or Tobias is going there with him, there's no way they traded two first round picks to clear space unless someone else is coming

Irving in, D-Lo out? I suppose we'll see soon enough. I personally don't see them being able to make it work together. Further, I don't really see the need for this unless there's another piece moving behind the scenes given the season Russell had this year. Bringing in Irving and forcing them to work together could undo all the progress that's been made.

Looks like it...but Boston is not out of the hunt to keep KI if Davis gets traded there.

I feel worried for the Nets.

How are Nets fans feeling? Is it like watching your best friend fall in love with a player?

That could be repeated no matter the landing spot for Kyrie.

“Different” seems to be an understatement for how he acts.

Smells like Kyrie and Lebron trying to get AD to LA.

People would go nuts, so he leaks to Nets.

Sad to see him go but he can be Brooklyns problem now. He’s a great player, but it’s only a matter of time before he’s starts the same crap in Brooklyn like he did on the Cavs and Celtics.

Also he said he wanted to play for 5-6 teams in his career and didn’t want to play into his late 30s.

LMAO Kyrie is so wack for this.

Dude leaves BOS to join a Diet version of them.

I'm trying to hold in the desire to dog some C fans who were quite arrogant before the season but I won't be so petty because there are some good ones too.

But it didn't seem likely even if they traded for AD that he would stay regardless and therefore I honestly think Boston is better off than having him stay and him just stunting the growth of Tatum and Brown while destroying the locker room. They'll just need to continue to draft wisely and in time get back on track. But won't lie must be an incredibly tough pill to swallow with all the expectations and build that happened the last couple of years.
