This is why we are excited about Cam.

Even though his overall percentages are low this year. His three point percentage (40%) and free throw percentages (80%) are realitively high. He has tons to work, on but as long as he keeps bring that good defense and improving offensively, we are as Hawks fans are over the moon about him.

Lots of crow on the menu in this thread.

:o :o You seriously bumped an old thread for someone shooting 39% from the floor for the first five games? :nonono:

:-? Because KD lost control of his dribble a couple times. And the kid has taken 20 threes so far this year. This is why young players catch so much flack, because we overhype them one way or the other off small samples. There are actually a handful of young Hawk players that deserve praise, Reddish isn’t one of them.

What the actual hell are you talking about? That's just a few examples of how good he is defensively. How about you watch every minute of every Hawks game like me and get back to me on how good his defense is instead of coming on here making hot takes about what you think is going on with the Hawks players.

Btw, being excited about a player is not hyping them up. What you people do is come out with hot takes about young players before giving them time to develop. I've watched his improvement from the beginning of last year and I have a right to be excited. Just like you're probably excited about Tom Brady leading Tampa Bay and the Pats sitting at home.

So the percentages don't matter when it's a small sample size of shooting 40% on threes, but they do when you want to talk crap about him?

His outside shot is great. His defense is solid as hell for a 2nd year player. But just like Huerter, he needs to start finishing better. It looks like Huerter really worked on his stop and pop just inside the free throw line. Cam should take note of that.
