This isn't singles tennis. The discussion is sickoning, but carryon.

I know

It was just in response to JordanBulls who said that LBJ had missed the playoffs in 2019...

  How anyone even takes that argument seriously is beyond me.

This is how it looks to me:

5+4 > 5, therefore 4 > 5

It gets dumber and dumber everytime I see it. No idea what Jordan is doing in GOAT talks when Pippen is so clearly better than him

Why LBJ haters acting like LBJ hadn’t had an injury last year?!
Lakers before LBJ injury was 4th in the West not far from the first place in the conference. Then he had a serious injury ( the biggest injury of his carrier) and the Lakers went from the top conference to bottom of it.

Jordan only played with Pippen.

That's weird. I remember him playing with several all stars and a team that was a shot away from the ECF the year he sat out. Don't remember LeBron's former teams even making the playoffs when he left.

lebron would have traded everyone before they gel and become anything resembling a team. Jordan's supporting cast had years of playing behind Jordan and learning how to win. Everyone are pawns to Lebron unless you are Wade or AD who he treats like his queens.

Makes sense. We all know LeBron can win with lots of talent. But we also know LeBron will bail and/or complain about his teammates when they aren't. He's not toughing it out and waiting for help to come. I can't blame him for it but he's had a privilege that almost no other superstar has had and that's partly because he demanded it in a league that allowed it.

Look at a player like Hakeem. Went to the finals in his second year while beating the showtime Lakers. Then his team became trash and he was stuck with those guys for a long time. Imagine if he could have left to play with Drexler and Mullins. Then KJ and Kemp. Then Jason Kidd. You think he'd have at least 2 more rings with a great close out record?

LBJ has been in the finals with the 29th defense, just 2 years ago or winning 66 games with Mo Williams with the second best players in 2009,but he can't win without talent around him :-?

Unless, you think that only winning titles mean winning.Jordan doesn't have a good record without the great Scottie Pippen.

Winning means winning a title. I'm not sure LeBron could win a title with em Robert Horry as his best teammate. Maybe he could, but he wasn't waiting around to let us find out.

He doesn't. Everyone needs help to attain greatness like LeBron and Jordan did.

This would be called 'Killer instinct' if it was Jordan, but I'm sure the haters can find a 'frontrunner' narrative to it.

Maybe but at the same time, there are two LeBron teams in the top 4 ... Several criticized LBJ in the past for his lack of Killer instinct but when he has a great record like that after leading after 3 quarter, some said that he's just a front runner!

I was right with you until you mentioned kobe lol.

Have you ever watch Kobe score while getting quadruple teamed? That video shows him getting blocked and missing too but it important to see the type of defense this guy had to deal with compared to Lebron.

lol

That seems like an indictment more than anything. A team would never D up Lebron that way as he'd tear them apart with his passing.

Even the clutch shots stats are jokes for lbj.

2009 vs Magic
2015 vs Bulls
2018 vs Raps

Compared to

2013 Ray vs Spurs
2016 Kyrie vs Warriors

Obvious that against actual contenders that lbj doesnt have the same level of confidence. #frontrunner

The lengths people have to go to in order to just hate on a player on this board... its both amazing and amusing to see.

Beyond silly. Ray only got the tying shot against the Spurs because Bosh rebounded a James miss; so confidence in taking the shot wasn't the issue there. James was also the best player in overtime (he hit the *actual* winning shot in game 6, for the record) and in game 7.

Also, there are other things that players can do in crunch time than shoot. (Say, a tremendous chasedown block in the closing moments of Game 7 against the Warriors.)

This is Texas sharpshooter fallacy all over. Just focus on any data point that supports the thesis, and flat-out ignore any data point that doesn't.

He has playoff history in MN. If you were wondering where the losses came from. Still seems like a high number/typo. Should have gave Lebron a high number of losses (as a typo) just to see how many people run with that.
