Ball definitely looks like a future star. A sure thing at #1 pick. Even better value for #3 pick.

Ball needs to work on shot selection but all the tools are there. His shot form looks way better today, like he has settled down from his first few games.

It's nice that he's an alpha and is looking to score/make the best pass, rather than be passive and not want the ball.

22 year old LaMelo with about 20 pounds of muscle added is gonna be a problem. the 3 ball is better than people think but he needs strength so bad

Cole Anthony looks good too. Sparkplug off the bench

Obviously it is only pre season but Ball and Cole.. scoring pg vs passing pg.. it was a joy to watch. This draft is/was better than we all thought.

Not an efficient scoring performance by LaMelo but man there is so much raw talent there. Some shooting work, putting on muscle, getting acclimated to the NBA and I honestly can't see him not becoming an all star. His feel for the game, handle and confidence are impressive. Till then there will be some growing pains but I'm very jealous of Hornets fans.

Ball will win ROY. He is very good offensively already and they don't really take defense into consideration too much with these awards.

Vassell looks like the 2nd best player on the Spurs already!
Unfortunately, that's not saying a whole lot :D

as a raptors fan, there are unfortunate some fans who make us look bad.

Malachi Flynn been good but solid

https://www.nbamockdraft.com/malachi-flynn/

These two reports are pretty accurate.
He's a good fit on a team like Raptors etc, where he can contribute right away

He'll most likely be a good backup PG, who can run the offense, and play good defence.

He'll be a good backup PG this season. Looking forward he will be a starter and has All Star potential.

the report said he doesn't have elite athleticism and size to be that all-star/starter
Malachi can only take what the defence gives him

I was wrong about Ball. I thought he was overrated but yesterday looking better than his brother. If he can keep grinding he looks promising.

Not surprised about Pat Will.. kid looked like a stud at Florida State and was hoping he fell to the Heat. Lots of teams were very high on him and thought they would get him later but Chicago wasnt playing around. Not surprised at Cole Anthony another gym rat that might look like a knucklehead but in reality is a very humble hungry and well rounded young man.

Need some video on Jaden McDaniels who I also think in time will develop although I dont like Minny for growth opportunities. I want to see those blocks he got last night if someone has video.

Have you actually watched him play? The report may say that, but my (and a lot of other people's) eyes are telling me something different. And most Raptors fans don't hype up rookies unless their play justifies it. There's a reason we're hyping up Flynn.

Well he doesn't have elite athleticism and or elite size for his position, but he is more athletic & bigger than ppl pegged him out to be. He's quick with it, and his ball IQ seems to be really high. His jumper is pure money which makes him legit, regardless of his shortcomings. On draft day I wasn't a big fan, the next morning I became a fan, and thru two preseason games, I'm sold. Can't wait until a few yrs from now when hes bigger n stronger how he will operate.

When the hell did LaMelo adjust his form? How is it even possible to do so this quickly. Its like night and day from last year. I was so, so low on him because he basically used to shoot it two handed, each hand on one side of the ball. Its totally different now. Not sure I have ever seen anyone adjust their shot so quickly.

Still pretty slow release and far from perfect but he was looking like a MKG type shooter in Australia and now is a passable set 3PT guy. Thats HUGE for his development.

at what point are you able to note the positives of your prospect without it being labeled as "overhyping" said prospect.

I heard on the Dunc'd on Podcast they were saying that Edwards simply has to get used to the NBA game, to understand how to score. I agree. His athleticism and speed would put him in the top 5% of the league. I expect him to boost his FG% as he learns to find his spots in the NBA game. Contrast with Ball who spent time in a pro league already....
