I ususally support disgruntled superstars who want to be traded but this is starting to smell like a Shawn Kemp type situation where a shortened season results in a guys conditioning and therefore his game falling off a cliff. Harden needs to pull himself together.

I don't see how anyone with premium assets trades it all for a fat disgruntled 31 year old dude at this point in time. I sure wouldn't risk my cushy GM job for a guy like that.

Ok what the **** does Trump have to do with anything

There was literally a report out that both Harden and Westbrook had issues with the owner’s support of Trump and is/was part of the reason they wanted out.

He lit it up the 1st two games playing Harden ball before Wall came back. He just doesn't like the team, system, and is unhappy. He will cheer up somewhere else

Tucker's not attached to Harden IMO. But Simmons & Wall on the same team is a recipe for disaster in 2021.

I'd deal Harden straight up for Beal + Bertans in a heartbeat if it's on the table. I think it brings them a better vibe, and gives Wall+Beal a chance to compete for the first time with great role players around them.

Wood, Bertans, Eric Gordon, PJ, House & Boogie are a bloody amazing support unit for any star duo.

Bonus - It simultaneously send Harden to rot in a real crazy situation that can't be fixed.

But why would the Wizards do that? Why would they want a malcontent, who didn't care to play on their team? Beal could get them legit helpful pieces for the future if they wanted to move him.

Agreed, but Wizards haven't been the brightest front office forever, so maybe..

No way in hell Harden agrees to be shipped to Washington to die with Westbrook again. Let's keep the proposals semi realistic.

Harden doesn't have a say in where he goes.. After that presser, Tilman would be extra motivated to do it to him, if the offer was on the table.

There's a certain power forward that is also upset in Atlanta, just got to wait until Gallinari is tradeable on Feb 6th to be able to match Harden's contract.

Collins/Huerter/Gallinari/Snell/picks for Harden!

New Atlanta lineup.....Trae/Harden/Reddish/Hunter/Capela

Harden averaged 40-12-5 on 70 from the field and 50 percent from the 3pt line without wall there. He checked out once Silas said wall of all people needs to run the offense. Watch him drop 20 pounds and be back averaging 30-10-5 for his new team in no time

The only reason to trade for Harden is to go for a ring and Atlanta isn't beating anybody with that roster.

Celtics, Sixers, Nuggets, maybe Warriors and Blazers are the most likely destinations if you ask me.

The rockets aren't getting away with that bs story of keeping him for another year.

They are gonna trade him before the trade deadline. I'm pretty sure that at some point harden will fake an injury and sit on the bench.

By bending over to his every need over the last 9 seasons?

By being one of the only teams to focus solely on playing a style to suit one player?

By having him under a max contract with 2 seasons left and wanting him to try?

Come on.

That’s said as if he isn’t the sole reason for being the only team to make the playoffs for the last 9 years. Also his “needs” have only recently come out. Even breakups with players were under wraps.

Not for a second. Khris Middleton is 29 1/2 and if the Rockets are going to trade Harden it's going to be to get younger, not so that they'll have two players in their thirties on albatross contracts in a couple years while they get a 6-8th seed. Fred is 26 and would be a great shooting guard next to a pure point like Wall., they'll save money (which is really what Fertitta wants), and our pick would be a lot better than yours if we stayed mediocre until the deadline.

I like how you point out that Middleton is 29.5 years old, while Fred is 26 (even though he is turning 27 in a month). The age is negligible when there is such a huge gap in actual basketball ability and impact. Not to mention Middleton is the prototypical wing, while Fred is a midget, even for the guard position.

It is exactly how the league and contracts work actually. Harden has the right to express his opinion. Rockets have the right to sit him at the end of the bench as a reserve, or trade him to a godforesaken franchise.

I get how it throws you off at the thought of Harden having to play on a sucker team for the first time in his life. Tilman might even send cookies with Harden, if it helps.

I think that it's pretty obvious. I'm not going to give you my political views because that doesn't matter. I'm telling you that all of these things were the reports on why Harden wants out. They are protesting in the bubble for things that the owner feels the opposite about and donates to
