Well first off I don't believe he's going to sit the entire season. With Irving you have to assume there's always some sort of show involved. He'll end up getting vaccinated.

Second Brooklyn doesn't even need him. The team is still ridiculously stacked and are favorites

I too don't understand the rule of unvaxxed players being allowed to play road games when the #1 way spready happens is by travel.
It doesn't make any sense to me.

It's hard to manage track this stuff for millions and millions of people...the city isn't going to cripple itself and smaller businesses with costly tracking and monitoring that would make showing compliance brutally difficult. The (huge) difference is that vaccination makes it far less likely that I will infect others, putting them in danger of anything from inconvenience to mild illness to severe illness to death.

Literally at every single stop. His untimely injuries and off court BS are just insane. And he doesn't care at all. It's amazing. He like, doesn't feel any need to try to be any different.

Says who? The data out of several countries suggests the vaccines aren't nearly as great at preventing infections. Especially after a few months. I'd much rather be in a room of people with negative test than a room for of people that's been vaxxed for half a year.

What's funny (or sad, depending on your POV), is how adamant Brooklyn fans were when Kyrie signed with them that this time it would be different. This time Kryie wanted to be there. This time Kryie was home, and that would make all the difference.
I can only imagine, regardless of whatever happens with this situation, that no other team will ever want to touch Irving from here on out.

Yeah, it's weird, but it's due to Silver not enforcing a league-wide mandate. Since visiting players aren't employees of the state(s) enforcing a mandate, they can still play. States with mandates don't have the jurisdiction to enforce mandates on employees from visiting states.
