As someone who plans to starting taking my 5/6 year old daughter to Pistons games next year and sitting court side, that's certainly part of what irks me. First thought is how you'd feel if that was your daughter getting hit in the face with something an angry player throws... I'd be really upset to see it happen to my daughter.

Bridges did say that he is "ready for anything the NBA has for him" and pretty much that he deserves it and he also admitted he was aiming for the guy next to her trying to hit him.

i made more than a couple posts back during that incident about how it was funny to me that we could all recognize it was hilarious that Blake Griffin threw water on those annoying fans behind him but people legitimately thinking Westbrook would be justified to go up into the stands and beat people up for dropping a little popcorn on his head. that **** was just as funny

I'm pretty sure none of us, after having played a professional basketball game, and getting paid 66,115$ to do so, threw their mouthguard at a minor girl.

So yeah, I feel pretty morally superior to Miles Bridges.

Mouthguards are like petri dishes for bacteria with how athletes treat them, I'd legit consider legal action.

I'm not a fan of this scorched earth kind of mentality and all of the talk of battery and assault even if it may fit technically. The mouthpiece hitting the girl did absolutely nothing to her. He made a mistake, apologized, reached out, and seems to want to to make things right. And he definitely has to make things right. But talk of legal action, jail time...feels so unnecessary if you ask me.

The proper course of action is for Silver to hit him with a multi game suspension + fine and for Bridges to make it up to the girl in her family in some way.

Listening to NBA radio right now and apparently the guy that threw the empty water bottle in Boston last year that "almost" hit Kyrie got banned for a significant amount of time and faced charges. A player intentionally throwing something at a fan and hitting a child should be severe punishment by the league and possibly even charges as well. A grown man took something out of his mouth covered in his spit and threw it at a child....I'm not a sue happy type of dude but I'd file charges, completely unacceptable.
