I think I speak for many here in saying that I would be shocked if Philly even got past Boston. Their depth and coaching are too questionable to beat a smart and balanced team like the Celtics. IMO

Congrats Embiid for his first MVP, tonight he was fantastic and im sure it will sway lots of voters in his favor and i doubt Giannis gained much after last game anyway.

Didn't watch Denver ( obviously) but losing to Houston is just embarrassing

If it’s in another loss to Celtics who cares they need to win this gm and not get swept on the season.

Embiid is just 2 rebounds short of what I predicted but still the MVP race ends tonight with a win against the Celtics.

52 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 blocks, 20/25 FG, 12/13 FT and +17 in 39 minutes. Congrats Joel in your first MVP Trophy.

I’m guessing injured - rushed him back to ensure an easy win and stay within reach of the Celtics for home court. Never panned out that way.
Voters will see Embiid’s huge game and then quickly scroll to Jokic’s awful match to compare. I feel he sealed it tonight - right or wrong. Either way, the big 3 have had tremendous seasons, and I’ll be okay with any of them winning.

I don't feel that confident as the Celtics are the better team for sure, but it's an unlikely outcome for any team to make the finals, not just Philly. Bucks and Celtics only have one finals appearance each recently despite their consistent success.

was a nice appearance for the Bucks though

And that should wrap up the MVP for Embiid. Especially with the Nuggets loss to the Rockets, and Giannis losing today too.

Edit, looks like Giannis won, but had a decent or so game.

Odds have shot up for Embiid...

I’d be shocked too. The Celtics are a great team. But having home court (one less match in altitude) would be a massive win for both teams.

he was but i don't overrate the gaudy scoring numbers. Since Celtics don't have a good one on one matchup, their scheme tends to be allowing Joel to do what he wants and hoping they can outscore Joel while he burdens the scoring load. When Joel's midrange is cooking like tonight it's a tough matchup however

I think Denver is purposing losing games.
They did it and let Portland win the final game to get Portland the 6 seed before in 2021?

They did the same thing in 2019.

Lol the Bucks won. They can wrap up the number one seed with a win over their son (Bulls)

Would be their 13th win out of 14 games against the Bulls

Thank you 76ers for allowing us more time to rest

Congratz to Joel and thank you for the win and extra rest! As I've said. Win-win scenario!

Looks like I saw an old score then, my bad haha. Been busy with work, could only see some boxscores, and a bit of the Sixers game.
