Plenty of proud big dick Aussies coming together in this thread. You can be an honorary Aussie today

That would be great. Sadly, I have never been in southern hemisphere, so you have snow or what? My place is 30 degrees C, but I have a freaking cold, half night I sleep sweaty under sheet, and half night I expose myself, since its so hot, thats how I got cold...

As said, I been only checking boxscore on this one, players of first half seemed to be nba bigs, Aldama vs Landale. Giddey cooking, Llull gave Spain the boost ehrnbthey needed.

I live near the snow, but I’ve been to the snow less than 5 times in my life. I can see it in the mountains from my house for a few weeks every year, but it has probably only snowed where I live twice in my lifetime that I recall. I miss 30 degree days.

Bulls may very well have gotten the bargain recruit of the off season

Was one of the last believers, I thought Bulls won that trade (maybe both teams win, but Bulls moreso). Caruso is great, but he is like 30 and still role player, Giddey was 21 who had two very strong opening seasons, but was obviously completely miscased this post season.

It was more of a need thing for OKC; Caruso has more value on both ends relative to what the Thunder were running.

Giddey couldn’t deliver as third/fourth option and that hurt the team.

Good trade for OKC, but even then it appeared Presti wanted to keep him. They pitched Giddey a bench role, but he dickishly refused, so they traded him. Could have been Manu esque on potential dynasty, great young player, but its harder to like him otherwise.

I live where theres snow every year, but its climate change or something, because it seems like seasons have shifted like 45-60 days forward from what it was. Back in the 90s, we always had snow on Christmas and New year, it suppose to be normal, we always had these fireworks you stick in the snow for new years. But nowadays, it is probably more likely to have snow during Easter than new year, something weird has happened.

Spain getting all the whistles. That’s the only reason why this is a close game.

Australia forgot how to score. They better arrest this skid or Spain is stealing this one.

Back to back threes. Needed those.

McVeigh just got signed by the Rockets for those who don’t know him yet

Big back to back 3s from Australia after Spain led (for the first time this game) so they should be back in control now, i think.

I remember thinking Abrines would be a long term contributor in the association.

Share your time zone time?

This game started 5PM my time zone, so expected to sleep by 1:30AM.

(Personally love this Euro time tipoffs since it means wine and basketball at the right time; not like when wine and NBA Playoffs it’s breakfast time for us. LOL)

This Spanish took the identity of Rudy Fernandez, glorious past, filled with achievements, should not be good at this stage, but remain competitive because they are dirty bastards of fighting dogs who never quit.

Magnay has looked very timid, just doesn’t look like a threat with the ball in hand

Always got Aldama in fantasy since i know his offensive prowess. But he’s not trusted by the Grizz coaches because he’s just too lazy defensively.
