Lmao this stupid **** clown. The audacity to complain about the refs when they were grabbing and clawing at US players on the perimeter but Jokic and him got the softest calls when slightly bumped.

Then he proceeds to get cocky with the whole Melo 3 symbol and it backfires because this imbecile finished shooting 30% from 3. Deserved to lose in a choking fashion. This is the icing on the cake - looks like an absolute CLOWN for crying about the refs after the fact. Sore **** loser.

I hope Canada prevents this loser of a team from getting a Medal. They surely don't deserve it.

Canada?

Err Germany! Was so wired by that tweet that I forgot who they were playing.

Second one was LeBron carrying/double dribble in the fast break. But it didn't decide the game. At the end of the day US made shots, Serbia didn't. We come back from -24 against Aussies, US come back from -17 against us, things level in the end.

I think the Lebron one was more obvious than the Embiid travel. The latter was a little more obvious when looking at the replay but I missed it in real time. The refs have a difficult job as it is and I think that some of these calls are difficult to make in real time.

The curry one was a 50-50 to me, and I've gone back and forth on whether it was a foul. To me, it's less of an obvious call than the Jokic one for his 3rd foul, and I don't have a problem with referees letting the play go on, down the stretch. I can still understand the Serbians being a little peeved.

But in the grand scheme of things, I think it's harsh to pin it on the refs, because I don't think that was the determining factor in the game. 85% of it was due to the poor execution down the stretch, while Curry did the exact opposite, making big shot after big shot.

I'm just happy we watched some awesome competitive basketball.
Having to watch summer league to get my basketball fix feels like eating out of the garbage by comparison.

The original 92 Dream Team wouldn't stand a chance against these Serbian legends Dobric, Avramovic, Guduric etc.
The serbian were just unlucky to meet the strongest ever USA Olympics team.

The talent and skill disparity between the 92’ team and the rest of the world was WAY LARGER than the gap between this team and the rest of the world. The world has gotten much better (more athletic, better shooters, better defenders, etc). Are the nostalgic folks really incapable of seeing that?

I have utmost respect for KD's basketball brilliance, but most people find frontrunners distasteful.

Dream Team would have no idea what is happening when the Serbs start launching threes every possession and big fat dude plays a point.

I didn't watch the game (it was on at 5 am here in Melbourne) but is it true some US born/based Denver fans were rooting for Serbia against their own country (which is what Kevin Durant implied)

I find that a bit odd tbh. Perhaps in some ways understandable, but still odd and still something I could never do myself.

It is most definitely true and you can add LeBron haters to the bunch.

He isn't been benched by KD from 2019 but he is benched by the guy that was swept by Ant & Gobert.

Who?

What if France pulls out the shocker and beat the USA team in a close, defensive game, would this be the biggest upset in basketball history?

It's embarrassing that the US Team is treating beating Serbia like some major achievement.

These figures provide a snapshot of each country's economic size, average economic output per person, and total population (World Population Review) (Worldometer) (Statistics Times).

Given the fact the USA has 50 times the population of Serbia to draw from, all the post game, chest thumping and self congratulatory celebrations from the US players seemed over the top. They should be a little embarrassed that a tiny little country was able to do so well against them.

I would like to see an All Star team drawn from all of Europe play the US team.

I don't understand the Tatum benching either. I'd play him over Jrue, White for sure and probably over Ant and Booker.

He's taller than all of them, can play the 2, can shoot and is a pretty dang good defender. Without being the first option he would be even better on D. He's also a pretty good rebounder.
