I wouldn't count out that "genius" in DAL...PJ/Gafford/Klay/Naji + first works...that would be the last nail in the coffin for DAL

If Dallas wanted Durant, shouldn't they have done a better job getting assets from the Lakers in the AD trade?

It kinda makes Nico look more dumb that his goal was get AD, get another high talent, but let me not add more assets to make it easier, lol

Also a 4 players for 1 swap? Have to adjust that one, but the value is pretty low there.

There is a rumor they were one of the teams who asked about him....and that's what they would have to give up to get him....now obviously more teams would have to be involved
I was bored an was fooling around at what it would Look like...it would have to be something like:

PHX: Butler
DAL: KD, Cam Reddish
MIA: PJ,Naji Bruce Brown
LAL: Klay,Gafford
TOR: Hachimura, Gabe Vincent

PHX replaces KD(who joins his budies KAI and AD in Dallas) with Butler(Miami doesn't want Beal, he doesn't want to waive his NO trade clause)...MIA gets rid of their problem and adds players who fit their culture...LAL gets Klay(who they wanted in the summer) and Gafford(they need a center) ...Toronto ads a young PF and Vincent(they would probably want Reaves)... obviously some picks would have to go around

I really don't think anyone except for MIA and maybe Lakers do that....well,Dallas might

Did you seriously bring up LeBron in a topic that has nothing to do with him.

None. The plan was to play Butler alongside Durant and Booker. Beal was the man to be sent out but since he has a NTC and isn't interested in waiving it, nothing is going to happen for us. Durant has already received assurances from Ishbia he isn't being moved despite several teams making calls about him.

I think the incentive would have been:

1) Shake things up with a different guy because things weren't working
2) More importantly, the Warriors were likely throwing in at least 2 unprotected FRPs and maybe a swap. So for an asset-barren team like PHX, maybe you reclaim picks for the future or use them for another move considering the roster needs filling out.

But yeah, seems pretty much in stone now that KD isn't going anywhere.

You do realize you defend a 2x champion in KD, yet you trash LeBron a 4x champion everyday.

Oh the irony!

LeBron ain't going to MIA as long as Patrick Riley is there

Lol please, he mended fences with Mr comic sans Gilbert, I think he could reunite with the gm who helped get him his first 2 rings.

Also after Luka got traded, ANYTHING is in the realm of possibility now.

After days of conversations between the Warriors’ and Suns’ decision-makers, Golden State has decided to move on from their pursuit of Durant, the 36-year-old former MVP, team sources confirm.

Oh, I wouldn't mind sending him out as I wasn't keen on his acquisition in the first place. And as you so eloquently pointed out, we're pretty laid to waste on the heap when it comes to future assets. Not that it would matter anyway seeing whatever picks we might have acquired would probably be sent elsewhere to fluff up our absolute rubbish when it comes to players being considered for movement.

Ishbia made this mudhole precisely what it is; there's no easy way out now and nobody wants to come help him out for fear of being pulled in or made dirty for even trying.

Just want to say: if he could be moved to Denver, that would be by far my favorite landing spot for KD.

I'm on the low side on KD, career and current, but that's one place where I'd be happy to root for him. I wouldn't say "unfair." I'd say he'd turn them from not a contender to a contender.

You upgrade your second best player from "who knows, I don't know, hopefully maybe Jamal Murray" to "Kevin Durant." That would be nice.

I'm just confused how you made this a LeBron conversation.

GOAT James got you all out of your element.
