That's what I'm hearing considering Giannis' relationship with Kidd. The firing would then make total sense.

My opinion is that we'd have to keep Brunson--and at least two of OG, KAT, Mikal, Hart, and Robinson--in order to make this a go. Otherwise, we'd just end up being the current Bucks (shudder...).

My personal preference is giving up KAT and Mikal (and keeping Brunson, OG, Hart, and Robinson). And if we can't get Giannis for a package centered on KAT and Mikal, I'd prefer that we'd then walk away from negotiating for Giannis...and Kidd.

Why would the Bucks trade Giannis for KAT and Mikal? If you’re hoping to keep 3 of those 6, the Bucks might do Giannis for Brunson, KAT, and OG.

Wright informed New York that he intends to stay retired from coaching. Wright confirmed that he did discuss the position briefly with Knicks president Leon Rose. This, also there are other available coaches out there who are legit like Malone and Jenkins.
Reading all these reports about Knicks going after tacticians under contract with other teams would probably make these available coaches hesitate to even consider the Knicks.
