I feel that is kinda a bad deal for both sides. Houston didn't need to do this, 37 KD aint doing a thing for them IMO. For the Suns, at least they got something, but I bet they still hoped they could fool someone into a better offer.

If they even had an average one, they make the WCF last year. Jalen Green had one job and couldn't even scorer 10 points in a game 7. Pitiful player that offers nothing.

I don't know, KD by now has a bad aura following him, finding happy KD is a new grail of the NBA. And he is 37, if he is jsut flat out worse than Jalen Green by next season, that wouldn't be shocking, it is shocking he is still not fallen apart as it, and I mean, he didn't, so maybe I sell him short, but that cliff down comes fast and when it happens it just happens.

I get that KD is old, but I don't think you realize how awful Green is.

KD on his absolute worst day is tiers better. The only thing Houston has to worry about is possible injury.

I really like this for the Suns

You get two starters and #10 for ancient Durant. You are younger and hungrier.

Some of the 2nds look bad however. Maybe they help you get Maluach with #10. Will be interesting to see what they do with #10.

Except the 2 starters play the same position of the Suns current 2 best players and 2 best bench players LOL

Man had high hopes for Jalen but he is what he is. Suns don’t get their future picks back, don’t get Jabari, Reed, Tari, or cam. Brutal for Booker with green and Beal as your teammates

Would have to assume they plan on moving Green, because yea, collecting SG's is not it, can't move Beal, and Booker is easily the best player by far

I understand Green is not good, best player Houston traded today was Brooks, but Jalen has nowhere to go but up and hes young, KD is only gonna get worse at this point, and it can happen fast is what I am saying. Dirk Washed up overnight, it will happen.

Even if hes good next year, is he good year after that when he is 38? It is compelte borrow time and Houston was nowhere in the rush. I get that a tleast they are doing something, but IDK, I would have been more patient.

Love the trade for the Rockets but KD must have told the Suns no matter what he better not start the season with them cause this trade is meh for their side other than the #10 pick. Kudos to the Rockets for not having to give up Thompson or Smith because even if KD won’t sign an extension this summer(which u never know with KD) they still have a great foundation and can possibly gear up to get another top FA in a couple of years.

KD obviously gave the Suns no leverage because I’m not making a trade unless I get Thompson or Smith. I’ve never been a Green fan since his ceiling is basically Zach Lavine whatever that’s worth. He’s a chucker who will always think he’s better than he is. Players like Brooks come around all the time so his value wasn’t that high to me. Suns at this point are just biding time until Beal’s contract expires so they could start a proper rebuild. I know the Suns are the only franchise Booker knows and they treat him like royalty but outside of 3 years he’s essentially wasted his prime not really playing meaningful basketball. If I were him I would think about asking for a trade.

For all the people saying the Suns may look to trade Green right away, who really values Green that high right now other than an awful basement dwelling team who may not even need him and his salary to lead a tank?

Green booker and Beal is an ugly as hell lineup

Suns just gotta deal with Beal for one more season and then cut him/buy him out. Then they can stretch his $57 million over 3 years. And in the new CBA they could actually spread that final season over 3 more years.

Beal is never going to waive his no trade clause.

Fair trade Value. People overestimate Durant's ability to lift teams. Durant is leaving arguably a better Suns team who fell apart WITH him. What makes you think he will be a difference maker in Houston? Their is a better chance he stunts the growth of Thompson and Sengun, instead.

imo houston clearly wins. chances are very high not a single pick turns into a KD caliber player and it was a win now move for houston. if they can compete for 2 years with a high level durant, it was a good trade.

do we know what the extension will look like? thats a big part of judging the trade.
